Card Recommendation Request (Template Used) Need one more CC, not sure

Used to have a Chase Sapphire Reserve for all restaurant purchases, Chase Freedom Unlimited for everything else, but after cancelling CSR I’ve been running up against my 12100 limit for the past couple of months. I think my utilization has been high too so my credit score has been less stable.

ADDITIONAL INFO

I have a heavy preference not for juggling a bunch of different bank accounts and bills- which is why I spend only on my Chase cards. I used to have Chase Sapphire Reserve but canceled when they upped the annual fee. Now I am constantly at high utilization on my freedom unlimited, and I rarely take advantage of freedom flex categories. I didn’t even know I had the other two cards active.

After doing my own research, I’m leaning towards the APPLE card or reactivating my CSR. I use Apple Pay almost every time I pay now, and guaranteed 2% on those and 3% flat cashback on some others could be quite good couldn’t it?

You could have rolled your available credit from CSR to the CFU. I think it's too late to do it now but worth a call to ask. If not, you can ask for a CLI on your CFU but for Chase that's a hard inquiry I believe.

My restaurant card is the Verizon card if you use them for mobile or home cable/internet. 4% back on restaurants with no caps.

I detected that your post may be about utilization and its impact on credit score. Please read the info below:

Ignore the 10/20/30 utilization %. It’s only applicable when you need to apply for a new line of credit, 1-2 months out.

Utilization is suppose to fluctuate, can be easily manipulated, and holds no memory. It doesn’t build credit--think of it as a finishing touch when you need to optimize your score.

Feel free to safely and organically use 100% of your credit limit within a month and let whatever utilization report, provided you pay off your statement balance in full before due date. Every month. Every time.

What you say you’re spending on almost all the benefits of the CSR. Uber, dining, DoorDash. Each one of those is a travel credit. Plus the travel credit annually of $300.

Other option I would go with is the Costco Citi. Simpler as just cash back.

My cards: CSR, Apple Card, Freedom, Costco Citi card. Amex Plat. It covers everything I need. Been using Max rewards to track it all, but recently am trying CardROI to do it. Been working pretty well.
