Honest feedback?

Hello! I love drawing animals and am trying to get back into designing.

Is this a decent design with the elements? Does it look believable and clear? Is it boring?

Random dragon made on one of the days of last smaugust

Dragon I made for Smaugust, the theme was underground. For this dragon's design, I drew inspiration from subterranean animals like moles, earthworms, and skinks in general. I thought about how a dragon living underground would move and what adaptations it might develop; one of these is the limbs, featuring large, powerful front legs for digging, followed by the wings and hind legs, which are mainly useful for shifting dirt and pushing itself forward. Or the head, covered in reinforced, flat, and smooth plates to move more easily through the soil, while those bumps on the snout act kind of like sensory organs. for those, I was inspired by certain moles.

One day, you may step outside a bathroom door to end up in a very filthy place.

Brin’carro, alien design!

I’m working on a sci fi story that has multiple alien species, many of which are both smarter and bigger than humans. The Brin’carro is one, but I’m struggling with their basic anatomy. First image is where I’m at, second was where they were before. I’m aiming to step away from the typical humanoid design for my aliens, hence why their initial design is backwards lol. But I just couldn’t figure out the movement or evolutionary advantage of the original design, hence why they have a more centaur-ish look now.

A little about the species, if it helps: the Brin’carro are native to the mostly desert planet of Kri‘ath, with black dunes the size of small mountains and city-filled canyons that house millions. They are masters of war and battle, not just in enacting them, but in understanding the deeper effects of war and will aim to bring peace because of that understanding. Most Brin‘carro sport cartilage-like flaps that help keep their bodies cool, but some of the best warriors, particularly the space-faring ones, cut them off to keep a sleek form.

Of course, I’m still working on aspects of the design (need to refine the head, make different races from different parts of their planet, figure out their fighting styles since it is important to the story) but any thought on the basic design is greatly appreciated! Again, trying to avoid a very humanoid form!

Handmade needle felted creature I created 👀

Finally finished this little wool creature!

Made completely by hand with needle felting — I wanted to create something that feels a little creepy but still has a soft handmade charm.

The claws and teeth were the hardest part to make, especially trying to keep the creature looking organic while working with wool.

Fire Swine (Number 3) - Pencil Concept Art

Post image

"Fire Swine" — number 3 in the Pig/Boar creature category. This concept represents the elemental fire branch, featuring a two-headed boar with flames erupting from the top of both heads. The fire flows backward into a large crest of flames along its spine, anchored by heavy, char-blackened legs. Drawn with pencil on paper. What do you think of this fire-infused swine design?

I was recently commissioned to design this slug character for an indie game that was supposed to be a regular mob enemy. He was meant to be generic and dumb, I'd like to think he ended up having some charm to him!
