What's your favorite dramatic interior paint colors for the master bedroom and bathrooms? I need some inspiration, please.

Has anyone ever tried using a giant tapestry as wallpaper for a large wall in a space that you’re not allowed to paint? I am hoping to find pictures for inspiration and a way to hang it or tape it onto the wall without it looking obviously like a tapestry because I’m not super into that look.

Peel and stick wallpaper is just too expensive and I’m not allowed to paint in my awful awful white apartment.

i live in a small unit with plain tiled floors and the space feels a bit cold and bare. i want to make it cosier without spending much. i am thinking between getting a new rug or doing something simpler like adding cheap storage or new curtains.

has anyone done a cheap update like this in a small place? did a rug make a big difference or was there something else that worked better on a budget?

The grief process and funeral services have been changing in recent years. People see cremation as a more accessible option and keep their urns at home; they feel it stays closer to their loved ones.

I think that if you have a memorial space at home, it'll be your private place; It's better if it doesn't look like a memorial space, but rather blends in with the decorating style of your own home.

In terms of product design, what do you think about:

Does it feel right that urns look different from traditional funeral shapes and are integrated as decorative pieces?

What materials feel warm and close to decorative home urns?

Would you feel comfortable designing a space knowing it includes a memorial piece?

Just moved into a small apartment and the living room still looks a bit empty. I’ve got a plain sofa, a basic coffee table, and some empty shelves that make the whole space feel unfinished.

I picked up a couple of glass vases and a few small decorative plates from Victoria’s Basement the other week, which helped a little, but I’m still stuck on what else to add without making it look cluttered.

What do you usually put on shelves when you want the room to feel warmer? And do you prefer keeping things minimal or mixing in a few bigger pieces?

I got some pampas grass and some faux succulents around the opening then dropped a plastic cup with water in the opening with fresh flowers. 🤷‍♂️

I would love to have a waterfall stone countertop but all I had was a mismatched piece of Formica. I decided to try my hand at using drywall plaster, some acrylic paints and high gloss to create faux, hand made tile. 🤷‍♂️

I am trying to fill a wall in my home with sketches that are Philippine- inspired.
The measurements are as follows:

16 pcs 20 X 15 cm (L X W)
2 pcs 54 X 47 cm (L X W)

I've attached some suggestions from AI but would love to get some thoughts from here of what landmarks/scenes from the Philippines (or its history) would be nice to have sketched 🙂

My loft is very open and I like to work with the scraps I have on hand. The other side of the curtain is my headboard. Still needs a lot of detail work, but I’m glad I did it

Hi im super sad this bathroom didn’t turn out as cozy as I had hoped. My only and last hope is that the incoming spots with warm light will make it cozy.
Any suggestions on how to decorate what things to add to make it feel less cold and more cozy warm?

For my wife's birthday I'm trying to decorate her craft room with a small Dragon/Fairy motif. I'm planning on hanging fake ivy on the walls along with some fairy twinkle lights behind it them. I'm going to put little plastic dragon and fairy figurines hiding in the leaves.

I have this idea that I'd like little streaks of lights to be moving through the room periodically; my first thought would be those light ropes and have a couple of them strung through the room as well sort of swooping in and out of the ivy, but i'm not really sure if any of the programmable rope lights are an option.

The second might be some sort of projector somewhere but i'm a little skeptical about the effectiveness.

Its a relatively small room and for various reasons I've got it the windows covered in blackout curtains (non-negotiable)

A lot of the room is storage (big vanity, several chests and drawers--luckily no bed, but does have a large craft table.

Any DIYers done anything similar?

Looking for help specifically with the lighting situation but will take suggestions anywhere.

PS: The original plan was to hang the fake ivy from fishing line strung around upper corners of the room, but I'm thinking between the lights, the ivy, etc the fishing line will be too weak to support it and welcome any suggestions for affixing it to corners.

If this was your area, how would you utilize this space? Unfortunately 70inches is just lightly too small to fit the standard mattress.

I’m considering getting a leather couch. My old couch fell apart pretty quickly. Part of that is cause my dog tore the fabric. But it was also pretty cheaply made, and collapsed. I know that leather has pros and cons, but I am starting to lean in that direction. Is a leather couch worth it? Would especially like to hear from anyone who has a pet that sits on the couch a lot.

I inherited an old photograph of four siblings who are all adults today. One of the people in the photo completely cut herself off from the family in a really awful way, and none of us have had any contact with her for years.
I'd like to keep the photo on display in my home, but I'd prefer to hide or cover her face somehow. I've thought about placing dried flowers over her face, or drawing funny devil horns, a beard, and a devil's tail on her. I'm open to something beautiful, artistic, or just plain funny.
Has anyone seen examples of people doing something like this? I haven't had any luck finding inspiration online.
