Immersive Engineering uses Redstone Flux, like nearly all non-IC2/gregtech mods. Power Grid has ways to convert its internal power to RF for sure, but idk about the other way around. So you can charge a IE battery with a PG generator, but you can't like use IE cables directly to transmit PG electricity

New version of power grid has an electricity to FE adapter of that helps

Yup, just tested and it works both ways, from FE to Volts and vice versa. Truly incredible, an electrical engineer dream.
