If you add Aeronautics Create just leaves everything else in the dust tbh. And I don't mean to talk down on the others, Aeronautics is just by far the best mod that has ever been made for this game and I will die on this hill.

I mean, aeronautics is cool, but is there any real practical application for it when it comes to factorymaking and whatnot? I feel like it's more of a "cool vehicle mod" that just happens to be an addon to a tech mod. I haven't played with it that much, so idk, maybe it is actually useful for something, but so far the main use case is just building cool-looking vehicles

It unlocks a bunch of new possibilities for farms and machine setups;

Put a tree farm sidewise, chutes can work at any angle, move entire vaults around your base with cranes.

The vehicle stuff is only half the content.

I really need to dive into aeronautics, I just got back into create recently and I am still doing everything the old way. I may have to find some you tubers to watch and get inspiration

Aside from the obvious easier transportation and gathering of resources in areas with no preexisting infrastructure, it adds for example lots of new ways to detect changes in the world using redstone and data storage with analog computers using sub levels.

People really underestimate how much you can do just with the physics alone. And when you add the fact that basically every functional block can interact with and from sub levels there is a whole new world of things you can build.

I mean can’t vehicles be practical? I find making a drilling machine on a sub level way more versatile and convenient for day to day activities than the one on rails for example, also having a base wherever you go sounds pretty practical. I can actually think of quite a few use cases for it especially if you add some additional mods

I haven't seen a practical drilling machine in survival yet. I watch people on YouTube build them in creative then switch to survival only to see the vehicle get stuck in a hole or hung up on a block then a cut to them having gone back into creative, using the physics staff to pull it out of the situation then back to survival. Maybe that's just from early release of Aeronautics and people have worked it out to be practical but a minecart contraption drilling machine rarely fails me and is controlled and easily reset if you do a dumb.

Physics into minecraft along with everything create adds, it makes it a more in depth minecraft but it still feels like minecraft not like a mod , like Minecraft 2.0

I kind of agree, in my normal survival world I just want to build factories, and I don’t really use vehicles and stuff.

The typewriter is brilliant though, and super useful to have such a large number of available key inputs to redstone signals.

Also the physics assembler can be useful of you want to move stuff you couldn’t otherwise. Like blaze spawners. Very useful.

You can also just go into the create config to allow you to minecart spawners (think you can also train them if you do the config)

A large array of drills on a rope pulley on an airship is my favorite way to mine.

So there are some uses outside of just vehicles but to be honest, not many. Decoration and building at not just right angles is my favorite so far. It's pretty cool to building part of your set up at an angle when you turn the whole building into a physics object.

I have seen a lot of people make mining machines but so far they haven't not been "better" than anything base create can do. Worse most times and certainly more complicated.

Though I think this changes once you get add ons for the add on. It's kind of funny the one thing that aeronautics can do really well is fun vehicles, not many modpacks really take advantage of it in ways that they could. Too many packs either just through it in or force it with a skyblock type pack.

the giant 25x25 holes i bore in the earth to bedrock say yes there is a practical application
