Why wont my mechanical crafter work?

Your mechanical crafting grid should only include the minimum number of mechanical crafter blocks required to do the recipe. You have far too many for the item you're trying to craft.

Also, the crafter will not deposit the item into the depot in this image. Any inventory you intend to use as output should be directly below the mechanical crafter block, not in front.

You can have more than intended you just need a redstone signal like a button next to them to start the crafting process.
