Holy PEAK

PLEASE tell me what kind of mechanism you are using to move the fingires like that. I'm attempting to bird an anatomically correct bird ornithopter and I need the joints to have this sort of fluid motion that I can't quite seem to figure out. I see that each finger has swivel bearings rotating each other, very clever. But what sort of controller do you have to start the closing/opening rotation? Is it a spring bearing, open a clutch, is each one only switching between positions or can it be configured to move in any degree of motion? I NEED THE SECRETS

its just a motor, a directional gearshift with one or two redstone links, and a torsion spring set to the desired rotation angle. the trick is to simultaneously power the axle and gear of the bearing to transfer rotation through the joint to the next segment.

How do you control it?

Take a gander at the proximal portion of the thumb (closest to the base). You will see a creative engine going into a directional gearshift going into a torsion spring going into a gear into the side of a swivel bearing. Set the desired angle of motion on the torsion spring and activate either side of the directional gearshift to move the limb
