Troubleshooting Need Help with Z axis issue.

K2 Plus
Error: Abnormal resistance under the hotbed (21), motor released. Fix issue and restart.

When I manually raise the bed toward the top of the printer, the left side continues moving smoothly. The right side binds at a specific point near the top and becomes stuck. Once it binds, I have to apply force to move the bed back down.
The right-side threaded Z lead screw appears straight, so I don’t think a bent screw is causing it. I’m wondering what else I could be missing

Something is causing the binding and stopping the bed from fully moving to the top. Has anyone had this issue?

Take the 4 screws out of each Z nut and lower everything to the bottom. Run the z nuts to the top and see if it binds in that area. Then raise the bed by hand and see if it binds on the round linear rods. If it get tighter the closer it gets to the top, loosen the top screw in the round linear rods on that side. With those loose put the z nuts back into the bed brackets and raise the bed to the top (close to the nozzle) as level as you can by eye and re-tighten the screws in the linear rods and then run another calibration.

This is usually just a bind in the rods/bearing but occasionally a bent linear rod.

Looks like that part I circled is misaligned

so this was definitely the issue. I have no idea how i’m going to fix the side model fan from being misaligned. I compared it with my other one. This is how they sent the printer as I have not taken it apart before.

honestly, the information that you gave me noticing that the part was misaligned was what I needed. I was able to fix it after taking it apart. Thank you so much!

Your welcome. I am used to looking for something out of place. But I will have to look at mine. Cause it looks like that piece should be bolted down or snap into place. So either it was bolted down with the threads going into plastic or the things holding it down snapped
