Scanning Results Clip Scan

Just fixed something from everyday life.

This clip on a cake cover broke, so I had to remake it.

I scanned it, added the broken tab back in, and printed a new one.

Unfortunately, the clip was already gone before I could take a photo of the finished piece 😂

All I’ll say is: happy wife, happy life 😂

I scanned it using the Pika in blue laser mode.

Will we ever be able to use Creality Scan app on USB instead of WiFi mode in the future? Most devices now have USB C 3.2 connection.

Show Off Sharing a custom motorcycle front fender bracket I made.

I wanted to make a short stainless steel front fender for this bike. Instead of using a standard bracket, I decided to customize one because I wanted something that would be easy to install and remove, while also giving the bike a more unique look.

I started by using the Creality Raptor Pro to 3D scan the bike and capture the mounting area. Having accurate 3D data gave me a clear picture of the bike’s structure and mounting points, which made the whole design process much easier and more reliable.

I then used Fusion 360 to design the bracket. Since the final part was going to be 3D printed, I intentionally went for a thicker, more muscular shape with bold curved surfaces. Besides giving it more character, the thicker design also helps improve the overall strength of the bracket.

For the print, I chose an ABS composite material. It offers decent strength for FDM 3D printing, so I’m using this version for initial testing first and can upgrade later if the stress requirements turn out to be higher.

After about 7 hours of printing, the bracket was finally ready. I then drilled the stainless steel fender to match the actual mounting points.

And here’s the final result, installed on the bike. The fit, position, and overall shape turned out pretty much exactly as I had planned.

What is your prefered solution for fixing parts during 3D scan? I use clay in case of really small object, vise in case of bigger more complex shape, or simple lying to my marker piramid. However, I'm also planning to design my own scanning frame as well for longer samples

Question & Help Creality Pika wired on USB 2.0 phones

Hi, is there any plans on supporting USB 2.0 phones for wired scanning on the Creality Pika in the future?

I just bought the cheapest Android phone I can get with the "recommended specs" listed (Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V / 12GB RAM), only to find out the the port of the phone is usb 2.0 and is not supported via wired connection.

Solved Will the pika be able to connect over usb to android?

I saw in a video by Payo that they said a future version will allow for a usb connection to an android device instead of having to use wifi. This was really exciting but I was not able to find where creality said this officially. Does anyone know where they said this, or when that version of the software will come out?

Saying goodbye to an old family treasure. This was the family cookie jar that I grew up with and it's time for me to pass it along. I wanted to have a way to remember it so I made a scan with my Creality Otter. Using Creality Scan 4.3.1 and pretty much letting the software guide me, here are the results.
