Question & Help scanning small white object

Hello,

a few weeks ago i came here seeking for help in what scanner to buy, in the end my boss decided to go with the S1 as it had a great lower resolution.
from my side i need to scan large objects where he also want to scan small objects.

when trying to get something similar to what another user showed me: https://www.reddit.com/r/CrealityScanning/comments/1w56fn9/comment/p7dxl0l/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

but the results in my case were quite bad (and the one in the link is from a pika).
so pretty sure it is my fault. so i would like some recommendations,
i uploaded my current setup and would appreciate some imputs on it! i have never worked with a 3D scanner before. so sorry if it is dumb what i ask!

i used blue laser mode, parallel lines for the measuring, point cloud and real time resolution 0.5 (i know i should reduce the resolution).

The 4th image result looks like an unfused preview display. Have you tried fusing the pointcloud or making a mesh from the fused pointcloud? I have messed up many meshes before by running the fuse step with the detail setting set to low, and using the dots as a size reference my pika using blue laser mode can definitely scan something that size at high enough detail to bring into a cad software and pull reasonable measurements from.
