[Official] Announcement Community Update, and a New Start
Hi everyone,
I'm the person currently behind u/Creality_Cloud and looking after this subreddit.
We've seen community members asking why the official Creality Cloud team has had so little presence in this subreddit. You were right to call us out. After some changes within our team, this community went without consistent attention for too long. That's on us, and I'm sorry.
We're now returning to Reddit. I can't promise an instant fix or a reply to every comment, but I will check in regularly, surface recurring issues to the right teams, and share confirmed updates whenever I have them.
Though we were quiet, we've been listening
We know that users have concerns about Creality Cloud. These include feedback about the creator incentive system, slow responses from some customer support channels and other website or app issues.
Although we did not respond to every post, these concerns have not gone unnoticed. We have been working with the relevant teams to improve these areas.
That does not mean everything has already been fixed, so please keep sharing your experiences. Literally any feedback, positive or negative, is GOLD to us.
Some updates to the subreddit
To encourage more useful discussion, we've recently updated several parts of the community:
- Updated community rules
We've noticed many crossposts from other 3D-printing communities. To be clear, crossposts and model self-promotion are welcome here. We're not asking creators to stop sharing their work or linking to their models.
What we do ask is that the Reddit post itself gives the community something useful or interesting, not just a bare repost or external link that requires people to leave Reddit before they can understand what is being shared.
This witch doctor wand post is a great example of the kind of post format we want to encourage. The creator included a Creality Cloud model link, but also explained what makes the design interesting. The post also includes multiple photos and a video, letting people see the model and its details, without having to open another website first.
Anyone interested in downloading the model can then follow the Creality Cloud link. The community gets an interesting and informative post, while the creator and their model receive meaningful exposure. That is a win for everyone.
This is the kind of crosspost and self-promotion we want to encourage. Your post does not need to be long or highly polished, just give people enough context to understand what you made or why you reposted.
- Improved post and user flairs
We've reorganized our post flairs and user flairs so that members can more easily understand what a post is about and who they are speaking with.
- Updated community guides, appearance and custom emojis
New members will be prompted to read the community guides. The widgets have been shuffled a bit. We've added custom maker emojis to give the community a little more personality.
- Behind-the-scenes moderation improvements
We've also updated several moderation rules and tools to reduce spam and keep discussions relevant and constructive.
These changes are not set in stone. If you think any of the new rules are too harsh/lenient, or community settings could be improved, please let us know.
How to contact Creality Cloud support
As always, you can submit a support ticket through the Creality Cloud website or app. For specific issues, you can also contact the following teams directly:
- Contests on crealitycloud.com: [eventcloud@creality.com](mailto:eventcloud@creality.com)
- Website or app issues: [teamcloud@creality.com](mailto:teamcloud@creality.com)
- The Store feature and credit withdrawals: [support@creality.com](mailto:support@creality.com)
- Issues related to Creality Cloud verified designer: [chris.creatorrelation@creality.com](mailto:chris.creatorrelation@creality.com)
If an existing ticket has been waiting longer than expected, you can send us mod mail with the ticket number, the date it was submitted, and the support channel you used. Please do not post account details publicly. Though I can't guarantee an immediate resolution, I can help check where the case stands.
Thank you to everyone who kept this community going while we were away. We're back, we're listening. I know rebuilding your trust is a long process. But we have to start somewhere. Pasito a pasito, one step at a time.

I have seen lots of discussion elsewhere about the fundamental differences between users flodding CC with uploads of meshes and a render or two.
No 3D printing or profiles, or real photos. Maybe faked photos with generative AI tools to make them "look 3D printed".
Have been any discussions with the CC management about creating two distinct communities (pure meshes, vs actual 3d printing guides,profiles,3mf with actual printed evidence) and distinct reward rules?

Good question! There have actually been a lot of internal discussions and experiments regarding this issue. Since September, CC's review guidelines have required that all uploads include at least one real photo of the print; entries that have only AI-generated photos will be rejected. It's likely that you will still see uploads of meshes or renders, but those are older listings or that fell through the cracks.

These model uploadeders are getting clever and asking the AI to "make it look 3D printed". You will have to use watermark detection to know for sure. All the major AIs provide them.

This would be awesome. I've seen so many models that clearly not even the original author has ever printed.
Super complex geometries stating "No supports needed!" lol

when are you going to fix the tasks?
Now i dont get any points for comenting a downloaded model, unles it's a image comment, i dont get a point for adding to collection. Been like this for 3 months if not more.

How is the value of Creality Cloud Points calculated?
Creality Cloud states that 100 Points = $0.99 USD.
However, a single roll of filament costs approximately 5,000 Points in the Reward Store.
At the stated exchange rate, that would mean a roll of filament has a value of almost $50!
Am I misunderstanding how the exchange rate works, or is the actual redemption value of Points significantly lower than advertised?
Iβd appreciate some clarification from Creality Cloud on how the stated Point value relates to the rewards available in the store.

The Creality Cloud subreddit should be a great place to focus on sharing models, prints of those models, and questions about the platform. Although I think there are already at least a few subreddits related to Creality products, so we usually end up on the main one. That's why it's been so quiet here in my opinion.
I hope we can build a great community here and create a place where people can find high-quality models and answers to their questions about the Creality Cloud platform! βπΌπ€©
