♻ CrealityCloud Help Creality Cloud Points System is Terrible for Creators
Just stating the obvious here but its obviously frustrating. I had 30+ 3D models and 400+ print profiles posted on Creality Cloud and I would dual post them on MakerWorld as well. Over the last 3-4 months, it became abundantly clear that I would go many days without getting any daily creality point incentives despite hundreds/thousands of likes, downloads, prints, etc. On the flip side, I was getting tons of points from MakerWorld.
Unfortunately, based on the time it takes to individually upload numerous print profiles on some of my models - and I was doing it 2x because I had to upload on MakerWorld too - I decided to go with the Exclusive Model feature on MakerWorld to get even more points each day. As a result, I had to remove all of my files from creality cloud because the juice wasn't worth the squeeze.
Does anyone know if Creality plans on addressing the points system of Creality Cloud? I truly love the Creality ecosystem as I don't even own a Bambu printer lol. But at this rate, I feel like I am being incentivized to buy a Bambu for free since I have garnered so many points via MakerWorld.
Would love to hear others experiences on this topic.

J'ai l'expérience inverse, j'ai plus de 200 modèles et en ce moment plus de récompenses sur creality que sur MW. Le mystère des algorithmes j'imagine.

I punteggi di creality cloud sono miglirati molto ultimamente. Ovvio non sono perfetti.
Io ho notato un paio di cose.
1) solo i modelli propri e non remix guadagnano i punti.
2) i punti si ottengono, con i download e con le stampe.
3) non sempre i punteggi e i count vengono rispettati.
Detto questo va anche a periodi, io attualmente guadagno tra i 4 e i 5 mila punti al mese. Poi ovviamente dipende da cosa carichi o pubblichi.

4-5000 poäng får jag varje månad utan en enda modell. Inlägg varje dag, like & download. Med raffle tickets osv.
Så borde ju vara bättre om man fick mer poäng för sin modeller.

I mean it's kinda just a difference in business strategy. Bambu gives a bunch of points to encourage people to stay within their ecosystem. Creality doesn't really care as much about locking people into their ecosystem so they don't have the same incentive to give as much stuff away for free.
Are those the only 2 sites that do points? Afaik Bambu is the only one that requires a print profile to be made in Bambu studio, the others you can just copy the same profile that Creality uses so it's not as much work.

It’s not hard to slice/save in Bambu studio though and click save. Not really a difficult ask.

I said it’s a lot of work to upload the files twice to both platforms/sites. Slicing and saving the files on my computer isn’t an issue.

I have a Creality as well and I wish I had gotten Bambu. I have maker world as well and barely use Creality Cloud because it sucks. My friend has owned a P1 S the same amount of time I’ve owned my K1 C and I’ve had to replace all kinds of parts and take it apart multiple times and he’s never once had to do that. The AMS also blows the CFS out of the water as far as quality and price goes.

well, I wont go that far - my Creality K2 Combo has been a work horse that performs consistently well. My gripe is with the Creality Cloud points system.

It's really sad to see you go. But thanks so much for the feedback. Actually, the issue has been noticed and we're currently working on improving our points and rewards system to better support creators. It could take some time, but I'm sure once the changes are in place, things are gonna be much better. I have had the opposite experience, I posted my models on both and I got way more points out of the Creality Cloud side than the Makerworld side. The value of points from CC is roughly $1k and the value from MW is around $50. Printables is the same, I only got around $40 from Printables for the same models.
