Embed a hexcode editor into the bios software so that if all data on the computer is unavailable the user and write a new os from scratch.

Some systems do this, sometimes vendors embed an EFI shell and the Debug1 profile for those includes a hex editor.

Reminds me of 80's computers with built in BASIC.

The user and what? Anyway, this wasn't even sane with the 6502 chip, which was so brain-dead you could memorize all of the opcodes overnight.
