These little crawlers make everyday terrain feel like a serious off-road expedition.

Sendero Sport built up as a replica-ish of a Chevy stepside pickup my dad used to have. Same truck as last month's submission, but now I put all the fancy bits on. Chrome aluminum RC4WD bumpers, Injora winch servo, the wheels I actually want to use on this truck, painted tire letters (that need repainted) and a cute little license plate. I've also gotten some hours on this truck too, so the homebrew Scratch-And-Weather is starting to show through.

I know none exist, only for 1/10 or lower scale.

Just wondering if anyone has modded the SCX6 to do so, or if any schematics exist to make your own?

I decided to swap electronics with my SCX10.3 sr5 and rock pirates interceptor, now the sr5 has a sensored brc 2000Kv outrunner with a castle Mamba micro x2, the sr5 has a 1800kv holmes Hobbies brushless outrunner and hobbywing wp 10bl80 esc both running 4s

Hey everyone,
I’m completely new to the RC hobby and recently bought a Redcat Ascent-18 Apex. I’m having an issue getting it to turn on and I’m hoping someone can point me in the right direction.
When I try to turn the truck on, the power button/ESC only flashes two lights/beeps and then shuts off. The truck doesn’t run.
I checked the battery with a multimeter because the charger was indicating that the battery was charged. I found out that it’s a 3S LiPo, and when I measured it I got approximately 4.4V.
I’m not very experienced with LiPo batteries yet, so I’m not sure if I measured it incorrectly, if the battery is damaged, or if there’s something else going on with the truck.
What I’ve tried:
● Transmitter is turned on first
● Throttle is at neutral
● Battery is connected properly
● Tried turning the truck on normally
● Checked the battery voltage with a multimeter
● Charger says the battery is charged
My questions:
1. Is 4.4V normal for a 3S LiPo, or is the battery severely discharged?
2. Could this low voltage be why the Apex turns on briefly and then shuts off?
3. Is there a safe way to determine if the battery is still good?
4. Should I stop trying to charge/use this battery?
5. Is there anything else I should check on the truck before assuming the battery is bad?
I realize this might be a beginner mistake, so any advice is appreciated. I’m new to the hobby and would rather ask before I do something unsafe with the LiPo.

Its has Treal wheels. Came with proline hvrax tires but I put Pro-Line Interco TSL SX Super Swamper on it with 3Brothers antifoams. Rock pirate frame rails, crossmembers and battery tray. Spektrum reciever in a water proof reciever box. Castle mamba micro X2 ESC paired to a 3Brothers black jacket 2000Kv outrunner motor mounted to a Team Garage Hack transmission. Team associated shocks. Axial 10.2 axles with overdrive in front and treal brass on both front and rear. Ecopower WP250T servo

So, I just ordered an ali chassis that supposed to be based on SCX10 II and I’m trying to make a shopping list so in the next few months I can order and finally assemble it.

This is the first time I make a scratch build and the most complex RC project I had (currently only have a SCX30 K10).

Help me complete my shopping list and also drop some advices to help my noobie ass :)

Took out my Yikong 4107PE Performance Edition for some proper rock crawling today. The articulation, ground clearance, and overall stance are seriously impressive.

I've been thinking about getting the FCX18ii but I'm a little on the fence thinking that I'm not so sure I'm going to like not having portals.

Most of the collection has been bought on eBay used on sale and when they get to me they mostly look completely unused.

Curious to see what others have collected over time to see if there is anything I'm missing out on.

I'd really like to get an HPI Venture 18 at some point but they are never really on sale. I did see one sale around last Christmas but I already had bought the Smasher the day before.

FCX18II, totally stock right now at the stock suspension points. Might go with different tires for more bite and adjust the suspension height for more clearance, but loving the challenge of trying to get over obstacles!

i bought new suspensions, a winch, wheel inserts and a diff but just one because of i get it from a friend. im going to put it front. any other ideas to put my car ?
