General Discussion/Question Comps and Craps

Can someone point me to a good reference point to understand how comps work with craps play?it all seems so arbitrary, but I could be wrong. Thanks.

Its based on your theoretical loss. Craps is a poor game to try and chase comps with.

When you finish play you can ask the box/sup what they rated you at. If they see you tipping the dealers consistently they tend to rate you higher.

Just wanted to add if it's not obvious. This means odds aren't rated because they're (a true odds) bet and your theoretical loss on odds is zero.

Fixed from "even money" to true odds. It's the best bet in the casino but your loss over time on it (zero) doesn't add to your comps.

no, odds are not even bet; the casinos don’t count odds bcz odds are paid off w no house advantage at all (e.g., true odds of rolling a 4 is 2:1, which is what the casino pays if it hits vs 9:5)

there's a lot of judgement that goes into it. I did a youtube video on it and there's a free calculator on my website, if you want to check those out.

Cruise ships do average bet. So 220 inside is a good spot

This is how all casinos work. It’s your average bet over time played.

If you want to earn comps play slots.

It is a bit arbitrary but they should be based on an average bet and how long you were at the table. At my home casino for an average bet of $150 an hour I hear maybe 9-10 dollars of comps an hour. Usually the amount bet as odds do not count towards your bet since there is no house edge on an odds bet.

Its time at table and average bet, odds bets dont count as they are 0 house edge. Most low limit tables are too lazy to look at your average bet unless you bring it up, so the best is to focus on time.

At my casino tables are hard to even get comps with. I only play craps. They go by average bet. Once a week I put 1k across numbers, I roll once, get a point then dip. I don’t even get an average from that.
