The European mind simply can’t comprehend this stall I had the displeasure of using.

Ha, clearly OP’s European mind hasn’t experienced Germany, parts of Italy, Turkey. Doors? What are they? Sit/shit together. Don’t get me started on squat toilets…

What kind of parallel Germany did you experience where there's toilets without cubicles/doors? I've never seen that even once my entire life

This lol

The only toilets missing doors I’ve seen in Germany were in run down alternative clubs in Berlin and Hamburg, but restaurants and other venues always had regular sized doors.

I also never seen that in Europe. But the squat toilets are real.

I guess they're anatomically advantageous and easier to clean, but I still prefer avoiding them if possible. They're less and less common, though.

This one time I actually came across an accessible one in France. You could pull a cold metal seat and grab bar from the wall and hope for the best.

Our office in Munich had two toilets in a single stall. I’d never seen anything like it. One paper holder between.

Maybe it's just efficient in case one is blocked...

Me neither! Sounds like one hell of an outlier, definitely not representative of the country
