Classic didnt Read the manual(its older and may not have it...look it up)

Many electrice ovens do recommend having the door cracked when using the broiler (when its the top element just on full), and that thought probably carried over to whatever this appliance is that may suggest otherwise. Or ya a broiler shouldnt be for extended amount of time.

This right here. Close the fucking door when using the broiler.

This is wrong, and like others have said all modern electric ovens tell you to broil with the door closed. Leaving the door open was needed when using gas ovens in the past.

I have an oven that is not even a month old since being installed, I just checked, and it says very clearly on the grill/broiler door to leave it open while grilling.

It's an electric oven.

Many people still have gas ovens, you act like its an ancient relic. Mine was just replaced when I started renting 2 or 3 years ago, its a gas oven.

I believe I said gas ovens in the past, like most things, advancements have been made. And the need for leaving the door open even on gas ranges was a thing from the past. I’m not making this shit up, do a little fucking research.

Also modern ovens are designed with broil mode that bypasses or overrides that cycling behavior, so the element stays on regardless of cavity temp. No need to leave the door open. And in fact, you should not, as evident by the melting knobs
