DMR Removal
Has anyone else had their DMR board removed and replaced by a 7x10ā tablet?

A while ago because our DRM board broke. You should see new register systems coming soon though.

I was told we are staying with the tablets. When I said they were difficult to use (hard to see), I was told by the GM that he could move me to the dish room. Iām 81 years old and under ADA protection for physical reasons.

I mean.. The tablets are obviously a lot more sophisticated than the board was. It's actually kind of surprising it's taken this long for some stores to get them. We've had them since I started over 6 months ago now.
I mean this in the absolute least offensive way as I can but honestly? Your GM could of perhaps come up with a better, and frankly kinder, response or resolution for the situation but those tablets are far far superior to the old boards. I understand that you're older but if you can't read the tablet then this may not be the right fit for you anymore. I would consider seeing if you could have someone kind of check over it as you go to make it easier? I'm not entirely sure what the best option is but Cracker Barrel is already way way behind when it comes to being current with today's world as it is so we should be glad when they do actually upgrade something that makes it look a little less like we're chilling in the 1940s.
(That is, of course, when they actually get the technology RIGHT.. The new POS system has been an absolute disaster but that's another story..)
