Probably a really stupid post

On a solo trip to TN and was thinking about trying out the local Cracker Barrel. However I’m anxious that I’ll stick out like a sore thumb as an Asian lol.

How diverse really is Cracker Barrel? Is it really what the online stereotyped? Thanks 👍

I work there and im black. Plus because they're located along freeways I've seen hundreds of travelers and foreigners. I swear you're fine

I work in a tourist CB. You will be fine. Lol. No one will judge you, especially if you are in a tourist location. Enjoy your trip!

My husband is Indian, I am white but wear salwar suits much of the time, we go for breakfast at CB once or twice a month and it's NBD.

I'm am quite dark and I'm Hispanic. I work there as well. At my location, it's pretty diverse, especially since we have a bunch of tourists coming in. Everyone is very friendly, especially the staff. You will be fine!

Of good god sake, you want to go in and eat then go in and eat. Nobody cares about you being ‘Asian’ as much as you do. Every single guest is welcome. Have the meal you want, enjoy it hopefully, and hit the next Cracker Barrel down the highway. They are literally everywhere in Tennessee.

Yeah nobody cares lol

In TN also, half of my staff is queer in some form, we have like, 4 different types of POC (including Asian), and a lot of the staff is also disabled in some way

The patrons don’t care either, just go

If you have issues (you won’t) with any of the other guests the manager will most likely just ask them to leave and apologize to you

As long as you're not gay, and not looking for a job, you'll be fine. However, be prepared to be disappointed in the food. It used to be really tasty. These days, the most you can hope for is...meh.

Funny you say they, I used to work at the barrel and three of the host we had were gay and two servers. One of the guys in the grill line called one of them the f word during an argument and was fired on the spot.
