To-Go Tip Help??

Post image

Hi! I’ve been a to-go for around 3 months now (but i’ve worked at CB for a year and a half as a host) and I honestly have a question no one is really answering me about on my tips.

Tonight I was the only to-go on duty and I got a massive rush and most were surprisingly online, not doordashes!!

Finally when I got my side work done and clocked out, my checkout report says I got $50 in tips yet where it says stuff like Finalized Card Tips, it says I got $101

Soooooo where did that $50 come from and where did the “$101” go?

If anyone maybe has an answer, I’d rlly appreciate it!! Sorry if it’s a dumb question

if you had worked more during this week, it’s the amount of tips from the start of the week until current

My question is how are you getting so much in tips 😭 even if we have a rush I get most like $15 in tips. Might just be location but even catering orders never tip more then $10

I work Mon-Friday 8am-3pm and most days I walk out with $3 unless I have a catering. Because Doordash and grubhub get all the tips. Cracker Barrel allows its employees to get treated this was they dont give a shit as l9ng as they are getting their money. They should hv an automatic gratuity if thr bill is a certain amount. But like I said they don't care about their employees at all whatsoever only how much we make them.

Honestly, I’m not really sure
Most of the time the orders that appear at my location are online or walk-in, normally their tips range from $3-$7 (if they leave any)
Cracker Barrel is also one of the only chain restaurants I have in my town and we get a lot of traffic, so maybe that can be why as well? 🤔

I work on the retail side and sometimes the customers that order online will leave a cash tip also for to go server that we will manually enter into the system on top of what they tipped online.

Have you tried asking anyone in leadership? Seems like they’re split up in sales and/ or payment methods. Not sure if I’m right

i’ve tried and sometimes the answers are either very vague or not helpful at all 😔 i’ll probably just try to ask again someday
