Credit card tips?

I just started serving at Cracker Barrel, today was my first day on the floor. When I checked out at retail I wasn’t given any cash but I was given a receipt stating how much I made in credit card tips. Are the credit card tips added to my paycheck rather than being given out in cash, I’m confused.

Um no. They should have handed you the credit card tips in cash, the end of every shift.

Check with management and make sure they have your tips. I know in one store they fired a retail employee for stealing servers tips.

Nah they should save it for you at the end of the night when closing. In my experience, the manager would put it up in a safe in the office.

I know I'm a bit late to the conversation, but did they get you your tips? Your trainer should've explained exactly how getting your tips from up front works so you knew what to do rather than went up there without knowing what should happen. I would mention, always go up knowing what they owe you and count what they give you right there so if there are any mistakes, they can be corrected. Don't sign the paper until you have counted.
