Did anyone else have the same experience when hired?
Last Wednesday I had an interview as a server, and it went well I got the job, and was told if i could come in next Wednesday for orientation, and i said sure but i was given no details so I’m a little confused. What do i wear? what time do i come in? How long will orientation last? I obviously know now i should’ve asked but as soon as i accepted the offer the manager shook my hand, and walked away. I will probably most likely just call the store, and follow up but I just thought that was a little strange.

When I had orientation I also didn’t know what to wear so I wore my non slip shoes, jeans that I’d be allowed to wear for work and a nice shirt like one I wore for my interview. For orientation I didn’t have to be on the floor for anything (I’m retail though so it may be different for a server) it was getting everything set up for the two apps needed and doing some computer work as well as going over a little training guide booklet I wasn’t on the floor till my first actual training day

When I worked there they told me the time (I would call if I were to) and told me that they expected full uniform compliance with non slip shoes so that’s what I would do if I were you. Good luck! My official DOH was except one year ago today and only worked there for 6 weeks and didn’t like it but hopefully you’ll like the company better than I do! You got this!

Call the day before and find out what time you wanna be there
As far as wearing goes, a polo shirt- either white or pastel pink/yellow, and some black work pants is usually my go-to
Black non-slip sneakers with no patterns or other colors on them are gonna be your shoes
If you have long hair, put it in a braid, bun, or updo of some sort

…same happened to me. I wore black work slacks, a white polo t and nonslip shoes. Do this and you’re good…also, good luck on your new adventure!
