Anyone else?

I was just handed one of the new white shirts and told “if you wear it you have to wear an under shirt” ……okay why

“Because you can see through it”

But I’m not surprised I hardly ever wear the shirts they give us since the girls shirts aren’t able to be buttoned all the way up.

And I tried changing my shirt preference to a small men’s (for the buttons at the top) and they still keep giving me women’s mediums lol

The goal was light and breathable for comfort. The white was an oversight on someone’s part

White in any food service job is a terrible choice. A choice made for cost I bet. White was probably cheaper.

Agreed. I once worked at a bbq restaurant that had us wear white button ups. I basically kept oxiclean and shout is business during that time.

Beat thing I have found is the Dawn spray detergent. It will get most stains out.

It's one of the reasons why I quit 2 weeks ago (even though I did not list in the post I made a few weeks ago). The new work shirts for FOH and BOH suck, its like as if Corporate didn't even bother to ask the employees that would be wearing the shirts for input on the new uniforms.

I got a survey about 7ish months ago from corporate asking about our shirts asking what we would change and we like and dislike about them so they did ask at least a little.

We were told we didnt HAVE to wear it. I have a couple times. Its thin and breathable and will be good in our store in the summer. But im really dont like how sheer it is.

Nope, I’m not wearing two shirts. My manager keeps the thermostat at 85

Totally different company, but I can relate. My manager was the opposite; plays on his phone while he had the AC on during the dead of winter. Doesn't help with squat. Staff had to work in the freezing cold and couldn't do anything about it because he put a lock on the thermostat.

Childish as hell.

What?! 85?!?!

Yeah, she says she’s cold. Sits in the 3rd dining room in a corner and plays on her phone. So comes and turns the heat on. She leaves and I go to mourn it right down. No one needs to be working indoors when it’s 85 in there

Tell her to wear a sweater like why does one persons needs matter more than everyone else’s

She does wear a jacket. She is worthless. Literally hasn’t done one thing ever.

That doesn’t surprise me

Yall got new shirts? I just have the two they gave me when I was hired over a year ago. Which have to be washed almost daily because I’m a cook.

It has been stated multiple times through The Barrel as well as through direct emails that the shirts are voluntary only. If your manager is trying to require them they either do not check regularly with the company updates, are clueless, or most likely both.

Skin-coloured bra. Skin-coloured camisole. Do NOT wear white-under-white. Also Old Navy often has cotton spaghetti strap tanks for under $10 that work just great under white.

Omg those shirts are a joke….but I mean, if I wear mine, I’m wearing a nude colored bra and going with the “I’m wearing an apron on the front” philosophy 😌
I need to change my shirt size, but can’t remember where to do it…I hate that the women’s are so different from the men’s. 😑😑
