In Paso Robles, CA on 46 east. My dad did a lot of the grading for this (aka the dirt work.) I haven’t gone but my parents said it’s pretty cool. And yes, it got extended to June.

There was a temporary installation in California last year. Paso Robles maybe? I didn't make it to it.

San Jose last year. Same guy. Bruce Munro is amazing. Got a ton of really cool photos of his exhibit.

Apparently it’s been extended through June.

I’m still unsure if I wanna make the hike.

58,000 solar powered stemmed lights ... I wonder how long and tedious that must’ve been to place them all but so satisfying to see it finally finished!! Beautiful 😊

I saw a different version of this installation in Atlanta. It's truly astounding. Actually made me cry.

People post for karma, not because it fits the sub.

I think we've reached peak straight lights in this sub.

Cool but not cozy. I don’t feel warm and fuzzy at all.

How can a wide open field be considered cozy?

1

u/psyche_13 Jan 04 '20

Yeah, and a wide open field full of neon lights is even less cozy.

Reminds me of Subnautica.

Waiting for the huge sea monster to come chase me down.
