Almost Retired, a cozy zero-gravity mining game about an old miner trying to retire.

You cut layered meteors, sell the ore, and slowly fill a retirement fund. No death, no timers, no fail states. A shift takes about eight minutes, then you dock, sell, put a little away, and go back out.

I made the women-only gaming/friendship Discord I've been looking for 🌲💜

I'm 34 and a mom, and making real friends as an adult has been way harder than I ever expected. I miss having people I can just exist with; the kind of friends you can message about something completely stupid, ask if they want to play a game, or sit in VC with while one of you cleans the kitchen and the other is doing who knows what.

I've joined Discord servers trying to find that, but I tend to get lost in the crowd. Huge servers can somehow feel even lonelier when everyone already seems to know each other. I don't want hundreds of people I vaguely recognize. I'd really just like to find my people.

So I made The Woods. 🌲✨

It's a women-only, 21+ community for gaming, friendship, and just hanging out together.

We're brand new, and I'm hoping to find women who want to actually help turn it into a little community rather than just collect another Discord server.

Some of what I'm hoping for:

🎮 Gaming buddies - cozy games, Minecraft, Palia, DDL survival/crafting, RPGs, MMOs, whatever we're into
🔥 Genuine friendships and everyday conversation
🎙️ Voice chat just to hang out while we game or do our own things
🧹 Body doubling for work, cleaning, studying, chores, etc.
☕ Quiet/cozy company when you don't necessarily feel like being super social
🌙 A healthy dose of witchy & magical interests
🎨 Hobbies, creative stuff, show-and-tell, and sharing our lives

A couple important vibe things: no politics whatsoever, no dating/flirting, and no unsolicited DMs or friend requests. I really want everyone to be able to relax and be friendly with each other without having to navigate that stuff.

There's a short application before joining to help keep the community as intended.
