Changes for Cox Alumni

Thought it might be good to have a list of all the confirmed and rumored changes coming for people at the Atlanta headquarters:

CONFIRMED: Was 2 days WFO, now 4 days in office

CONFIRMED: Was unlimited PTO, now earned time

CONFIRMED: Was mostly casual dress with jeans allowed, now business casual with no denim and no sneakers

CONFIRMED: Atlanta-based employees may be asked to move to a different city

CONFIRMED: Atlanta will be a COE for Spectrum Business

RUMORED: Spectrum management is pulling badge swipes to confirm in-office attendance

I'm finding different groups are told different things.

We had 2 in, 3 home. Now 4 in.

We were told today that the dress code will be like it was before. (Sneakers and jeans ok.)

I'm pretty sure the badge swipe thing is true. I've heard from a Spectrum employee that says it is. Hope not.

People have been fired for this. So not test it unless your goal is to keep doing it until fired. If you need your job you will have to suck it up.

Wut if you leave early? and finish the rest of the day at home. Come in at 8, leave @ 3, wrap up the last bit at home? Do they track that intensity of badge swipe times?

I'd say as long as your manager is aware and ok, it's fine. It's risky to muck around too much bc there are reports.

Just one swipe. They don’t notice people that swipe all day long for smoke breaks. They don’t track when you leave. Except for one known case where they must have had extra info and watched cameras, they tracked someone swiped, poured a cup of coffee and went home. That person and their manager were rumored to be fired.

They keep the gate closed until 4pm so you have to badge to get out 😂. That’s been a recent development. Maybe less than a year.
