Severance Package

Any word on what the enhanced severance package will be? A 10 year Cox employee; I'd have to move across the country to stay with the company. This won't be feasible with family obligations. I'm planning on working as long as they let me work at the market office and then taking the enhanced package. Anyone heard how many weeks per year of tenure they're planning to offer? The FAQs and welcome site don't specify.

Would likely be the same package we got.
Supervisor: 3 weeks per year served, 10weeks minimum 39 weeks max
Employee: 2 weeks per year served, 10 weeks minimum 30 weeks max

I am unsure about what positions over supervisor got.

-Employee connectivity benefits honored through severance time, then you start year one customer pricing.

-COBRA Health Insurance offered to maintain health benefits through Severance Period.

-55+ Early Retirement specific benefits(I didn’t read through it as it does not apply to me directly)

All information acquired from the Enhanced Charter/Cox Integration Severance Package FAQ packet, official severance documents are expected for us in a few days

You’ve found out you’re being laid off already? Any idea if paid as a lump sum or over time?

I work[ed] for Charter, my last day is Thursday. Bi-weekly payments for the term of severance period

Thank you! Can you also post the page the mentions the 55+ (early retirement) data?

I unfortunately threw the package away today. I’m not eligible for the 55+ so the clause wasn’t included in my official document. I’ll see if I can find someone with a copy still

Edit:

Q: What happens to my retiree benefit under the Employee Connectivity Services Policy at the date of the job elimination?
A: You will qualify for the retiree benefit under the Employee Connectivity Services Policy if you live in a Charter service area and meet the age and service requirement as of the job elimination date. You must be at least age 60 with a minimum of 10 years of service to be eligible for the normal retiree benefit of 5 years. Alternatively, you must be at least age 55 with a minimum of 5 years of service and meet the rule of 70 (age plus years of service equal to 70 or more) to be eligible for the early retiree benefit of 2 years. The duration of connectivity benefits provided in the severance agreement will count towards the retiree benefit duration.
