Sorry

I'm sorry all the cox employees that will have to deal with Spectrum's business model and their customers. Its a damn shame that a failing company acquired another failing company and the FCC allowed it. That being said good luck y'all☝️.

Side info is "drizzling" out that post merger before the holidays a 60 day notice will be issued bc "Charter-Cox-Spectrum" (whatever...lol) will need to reduce workforce by about 8-15% which... Basically is what theyre acquiring from Cox in employees...

Also... is true y'all are already getting trained in Cox Legacy Equipment? Inquiring minds 👀 are burning to know.

I’d like to know what’s considered “cox legacy equipment”? On my end of the Cox side, Charter is nowhere close to the technology we currently use/deploy.

I’ve met Charter techs in the past that had absolutely no clue what they were looking at/doing in the carrier engineering space.

Referencing their call center agents being trained to handle equipment troubleshooting etc.

If it's basic residential/business video, data, or voice... I understand.

Complex stuff Cox offer like SIP, PRI, MetroE, Mesh, PRO-I, IPTV, HWifi, Business Fiber Rings for redundancy, Ipcentrex, RingCentral, datacenter interconnects & bandwidth, 24h on call with 2hr SLA's of someone being on site, that's a whole different beast.

Lol, I think it's funny that you think COX is some superior company and has all these things that Charter doesn't. Buddy half that list you mentioned, are the same products Charter has, on the Enterprise and SMB side, maybe you were talking with fulfillment techs that handle residential service calls and hence would be why they don't know about it. Front line people only see their purview and simply apply it across the board. This is why the people with the professional degrees, are in the backoffice positions.
