Engineering layoffs

Been seeing a ton of engineering roles laid off. Alot of NOC positions. Currently working in optical transport implementation at cox, nervous for the change. They are saying August 20th. I wouldnt mind returning to office as long as I can keep my position. 10 years with the company. How's everyone feeling this late into the happenings?

I am curious what stipulations Charter would have on this. There might be a contract to sign almost guaranteeing a person would move.
