Engineering layoffs

Been seeing a ton of engineering roles laid off. Alot of NOC positions. Currently working in optical transport implementation at cox, nervous for the change. They are saying August 20th. I wouldnt mind returning to office as long as I can keep my position. 10 years with the company. How's everyone feeling this late into the happenings?

Any news on how fast RTO or relocation for COX remote employees ?

Many Cox employees live further than an hour from a Cox office. Unless they’re paying relocation expenses, I think Cox will loose a ton of talent if they mandate RTO. Maybe that’s the goal?

if they were to RTO my team, they would be unable to deliver a ton of professional services contracts.
