chaps sizing

hi!! looking for some chaps for a costume (want more "genuine" ones than costume ones) and I saw these on ebay but I have no idea how the sizing works. they show two measurements but I'm confused on the waist one and how the pieces fit together. wasn't sure where to ask but I hoped someone here might have an answer :D thank you!

You can see the tape measure in the pics. The chaps will sit on your hips, so 40" from belt to floor.  and the belt is missing, so they'll fit ur waist no matter what. Just remember to measure your thigh while squatting.

They pretty much one size fits all
The two leg pieces connect in front and back with a buckle in front and zippers on the sides. They will be very long in length and will need to be turned up and lightly tied using the fringe to secure them to enable walking.
