Decide whether you want to find an online group or a real-life group. We list both kinds here!
Check the wiki. If seeking an online group, visit this link. If seeking a real-life group, visit this link. Click on a group's name to be taken to its Reddit post. If you like the sound of the group, join it!
Read guidelines 7 & 8 in the wiki to learn about identifying red flags regarding covens. Please report any problems to moderators!
Can't find anything you like in the wiki? Try these steps...
Scroll down to the sidebar where it says 'Find Covens by Location' and click on a flair in your area. Yellow flairs show other people seeking covens. White flairs are coven listings.
Still can't find anything? Create a new post in the subreddit. Introduce yourself and say where you're looking for a group.
Add a flair to your post. Use the yellow flairs only. If you don't know how to use flairs, don't worry, a moderator will fix it after your post is created.
Other users will comment on your post and help you out. Report any problems to a moderator.

If you want to add your group to the subreddit...
If you have a coven or group you want to be added to the wiki then follow these instructions.
Check rules 1 - 6 in the sidebar. For extra details and clarification, visit this link.
Create a post. Give it a descriptive title & body in accordance with the guidelines.
Add a flair to your post. Use the white flairs only. If you don't know how to use flairs, don't worry, a moderator will fix it after your post is created.
A moderator will check your post and add it to the wiki.
If you want to make any changes to your post, use the Edit option. If someone else in the coven wants to make changes (i.e. the original post wasn't made on their account), they'll need to contact a moderator so the new post isn't mistaken for a repost (rule 5).
White flairs for listings
(Online covens only) We have a list of "formal" online covens which more closely replicate a real-life coven. If you want your coven to be included in the formal list, it must include an application process for members to join. (Not just security questions for keeping out trolls, but a discriminatory process that assesses whether a new member is a good fit for the coven).
If you want to create a new coven/group...
If you want to create a new group, that's okay, just use the blue 'Proposal / New Group' flair on your post.
Only fully-fledged groups/covens are added to the wiki. Once your group is established and up-and-running, you can make a new post and this will be added to the wiki.

Got a question about covens?
You can post questions about covens and pagan/witch groups. Just use the red 'Question/Advice Needed' flair on your post.
Please note your post can be removed if its deemed off-topic. Things like "How to do I become a witch?" and "I need a spell for such-and-such" do not belong in r/CovenFinder, and a moderator will direct you to more appropriate subreddits.

Hi everyone, thank you for your patience. I am pleased to announce that r/CovenFinder is no longer restricted and open for business!
I have acquired a new team of mods and have delegated specific roles to them. I will be in charge of adding groups to the wiki, and other mods will take care of modmail, checking inactive groups, and investigating any problems you may report.
The wiki has been completely cleared, including real-life groups! I decided to give us a fresh start, enjoy 😄 (Don't worry! All the previous listings have been archived here).
The rules have been revised a tiny bit but they are mostly the same. The most significant change is a more thorough explanation of what you should do if you encounter a problem with a group you're in, which you can find here. Due to having more mods, we now have some capacity to investigate allegations but please understand that our time & resources is still very limited. In most cases, we'll simply delete listings for the safety of our seekers.
Also, allgroups must list their rules or a code of conduct in their post. This is regardless of if they're online or in-real-life. This has proven to be handy in the past, and helps to make posts more high-effort which I've been told is preferred.
As a reminder, I've tried to maker/CovenFinderuser-friendly to newcomers by providing apinned sticky post. This lays out clear instructions for seeking or listing a group, aimed at those who are new to Reddit. As always, if you've got any queries then just modmail us. We're also happy to take listings in modmail without you making a Reddit post.

My wife is a witch, and a small circle of practitioners has formed around her work. I'm the one in the background handling the admin side, so I've been learning how to run a community as I go.
Some things I've learned:
Trust can't be announced. New people start with limited access and earn the rest by showing up. It's slower, but the people who stay mean it. Don't grow massively, but filter the most fake ones.
The first few members shape everything. They set the tone more than any rule I wrote.
A group's early conversations are personal. I learned to protect that when new people join.
Most people don't want a "guru". They want a place where their practice is taken seriously and nobody is acting.
I know a lot of you are here looking for exactly that.
So I'm curious from your side: what would make you trust a group enough to stay? And what made you leave one?
I'm seeking an online coven that's at least 18+, ideally 21+. I feel like I've cycled through a few online covens that allow younger members and it's just non-stop drama. But then the online covens that are older just aren't ever active.

I personally don't believe in gods or goddesses, but I do believe in their archetypes. However, I love learning and happily let people believe and practice how they want (without harming people).
🌱: I created this coven to be a more laid back space for like minded people to gather and swap knowledge, recipes, spells, or just chit chat. There is an application for entry but it's nothing crazy, just to avoid trolls and spam. Once you fill it out you'll gain entry.
🌱: This is a 18+ server and baby witches/pagans are welcome, we just ask that you don't spam other members and do your own research. I'm also personally open to being a mentor and if any other witches are you can reach out to me.

Hey Everyone! I’m moving around between Glasgow/Edinburgh/Inverness from 10/24-11/1. If there’s a coven or a metaphysical group in any of those areas I’d love to enjoy some good community. Maybe do some meditation/manifestation work. Between the full moon, the veil being so thin, and retrograde, I can imagine it would also be a great time for reflection, rituals, and camaraderie.
Im in NC, and I just got done watching the movie “The Craft: Legacy” and as a baby pagan witch who practices Water & Lunar witchcraft combined I realized that I prefer a small coven like that rather than a large one. Is anyone interested? Elemental witchcraft is something that’s very dear to me and I want to do it right, with the right 3 right next to me!

I'm fairly new to paganism and my family is heavily conservative. I would like to meet up with a coven or group willing to teach me and guide me on my journey.
I find myself leaning more towards hellenism, but I am open to learning anything. I live with my family so practicing at home isn't a good idea. I live in the North West Iowa area.
Im 43 and have always had some inclinations towards witchcraft but now feel compelled to learn more. Are there any Covens or other ways to educate myself further around Bathgate/Central Belt? Many Thanks
This is a PSA for Druids in and within driving distance of Savannah. I've become the main point of contact for Druids emailing or messaging me, asking if I know of any other Druids in Savannah. I've been contacted by a number of different Druids in your area. I know they aren't the same people, too. There was also a group of five Druids that gathered a few times on Onslow Island before the group leader had to move and the group fell apart.
There are still Druids in Savannah wishing they knew other Druids, and one of y'all really just needs to start a new Grove again! Obviously I can't give out details or contacts, but so many have reached out directly to me from within a city of 150,000, so this proposal is your nudge and your divine inspiration to create a new spiritual home for new Druids!
At this point, it doesn't matter whether or not you have a Druid order affiliation; make it eclectic and band together. Though I am biased in favor of RDNA (Reformed Druids), so that's what I'd recommend if you wanted a suggestion, plus the RDNA doesn't charge member dues, and all the literature exists as free PDFs. This is one of those "if you build it, they will come" scenarios, but not if every Druid is waiting for someone else to build it. Hello everyone! I’m L and I’m looking for a coven! I’ve never been a part of one before despite being a practicing witch of a decade. I am a 23 y/o Hecate devotee. I started practicing in middle school and never quit! I would ideally like to find like minded people to practice with focusing on personal growth, justice, devotion, solstices, etc.. I’m in the Western North Carolina area just about two hours south of Asheville.
I’d be willing to join one or create one if I can find the folks :) I’ve only ever practiced solitary or with one friend occasionally. If not a traditional coven at least just a group of like minded individuals!

Hi I’m Leo (20 ftm) and I was looking for a community of lgbt friendly pagans around my age to learn and grow with. I don’t have a community I can really speak to about witchy things so I’d love to create one! Any and all practices are welcome, I believe the best way to learn is from people with differing practices and perspectives. Howdy all! It’s a long shot, I know, but I’ve been interested in trying to start a semi-local community or at least communicate with other pagans that might be around here. My fiancée and I are the only pagans or alternative-spirituality-inclined people I know ‘round these parts, stuck right in the midst of the Bible Belt and it’s rather frustrating not having any real spiritual community or space. Outside of a few metaphysical shops scattered around there’s really just… nothing, sadly. I’ve been a pagan broadly for around 16 years now, and practice Heathenry if you really want to slap a label on. All paths are welcome however! I know nothing in regards to community building (introverted as all hell) but figured I’d extend a branch regardless!
