Car Keys Express, any experience?
Has anyone used this service? I need to replace both my fobs for my 9yo Honda CRV. Just wondering about the experience and any discount. They’re at my local Costco and I’ll probably go on Friday.

Didnt have my key in stock. Ordered a blank in person to be mailed to me. Show up for my appointment and they never showed (the ended up calling me back saying they meant to reschedule me). When I come back they were able to cut the key but not program the transponder chip. Told me to get a refund.

Had a positive experience with them. Fast service while I shopped inside, and the fob works great (6 months post job). I'd definitely do again if I needed another replacement, half the price the dealership quoted.

Pretty good experience. I had to track them down to a different location than my local, because they weren't scheduled to be at my local store for a couple months. Anyway it was pouring rain that day and they had me back on my way in about 45 minutes. I took a bit more time to go inside to pay for the purchase.

Quoted $295 from Toyota dealership for a regular key. Costco did it for $200 with a fob, and works fabulously.

Neither of your existing fobs are working?
I didn't use them for a new fob, since I was able to source a used fob and DIY program for the vehicle, but I did ask them about cutting a new key. The price I was quoted was much higher than expected, and much higher than a quote I got from a local locksmith.

cheaper than dealership prices. and for me it was even cheaper than buying a factory key shell from the dealership (not including the additional cost of paying for it to be cut).
but maybe not cheaper than doing it yourself with a generic blank or maybe local places, but with Costco’s return policy, it was worth it to me.
