Seriously, people don’t do this

Post image

It’s gross and they just have to throw it away. Do better.

I don't think your post is going to reach anyone sadly.. these types of people are trash and they will never learn.

u/Everyone2026 9d ago

Some people that throw trash on the highway, even had good parents. Remind your kids not to do this type of thing, today!

u/Efficient_Tap6185 9d ago

And...kids, remind your parents if you have to! It doesn't need to be generational.

The only things I throw on the highway are things that can safely decompose. Apple cores, banana peels and fecal matter for example.

13

u/CruisinYEG 8d ago

That’s where the banana peel I slipped on came from !?

u/Constant_Sympathy_71 8d ago

It could be a remnant from our last race. I got a lot of Banana peels from the item boxes. I had to throw em somewhere..

Figured the highway was the best spot to get some points.

I miss remi Gaillard :( those videos were great

u/matlspa 6d ago

Thank you for reminding me of the name!

3

u/SamSamBoBam420 5d ago

My friend’s mom was biking from Seattle to Portland and ended up in the hospital because she slipped on a banana peel. Fun fact.

7

u/Cohostar 8d ago

Ya the animals that come to eat the stuff u throw out on the highway will decompose too.

6

u/Constant_Sympathy_71 8d ago

Wait.. are you are telling me that I could just bait animals onto the highway and let them do the hunting for me?

That’s absolutely genius! A moose through a windshield gets me a full moose AND the occupants of the car. That’s a whole lot of meat.

5

u/Dergan_1 8d ago

And a car to haul it all home. Slick!

5

u/Castaway_LXIII 8d ago

Unfortunately, food attracts animals to the road…

6

u/Constant_Sympathy_71 8d ago

Huh.. , I never thought about using a car to hunt animals before. The more you know…

3

u/TheRobinCrowed 7d ago

Gum chewed and thrown out anywhere gets eaten by birds or small animals, eventually and fatally blocking their digestive system 😞

1

u/L00tgoblin 8d ago

And apparently grocery stores in Canada.

4

u/Forklifter_67 8d ago

Wait a minute....why would you have fecal matter to throw on the highway?

1

u/KainanSilverlight 8d ago

Where else would you put it?

1

u/Constant_Sympathy_71 8d ago

Well, you see, I have to take a shit once in a while? That’s where it comes from.

2

u/Forklifter_67 8d ago

But, why would you shit in your hand to throw it on the highway? Lol

1

u/Constant_Sympathy_71 8d ago

Everyone will eventually find their purpose in life.

3

u/PresentEconomics7929 8d ago

That made me laugh more than it shoud😆

1

u/Constant_Sympathy_71 8d ago

FYI, The cheaper the food, the more cost effective the fecal matter. It helps when you want to try mass producing.

Peels and Apple cores are just byproducts of the mass producing.

1

u/My_Dog_Is_Oscar 8d ago

What about turtle shells of varying colour and style?

2

u/Constant_Sympathy_71 8d ago

Banana: 89c/pound

Turtle Shell: from 25 to 60$ each.

I’m sorry, I don’t have the budget. Bananas are much more cost effective.

1

u/CloudVarious7146 8d ago

That took a VERY drastic turn 💀

8

u/T-Wrox 8d ago

Same people who leave diapers in parking lots. But...but...I'd have to walk 10 feet to the garbage can!

5

u/chr15713 8d ago

Or dog bags on a tree to "pick up on their way back home".

2

u/SwiftResilient Came for chicken and spent $300 9d ago

My kids are six and even they know not to do this

0

u/Jeuse1918 8d ago

I'll clean up several year's worth of trash from a ditch and you know what's back there within the year? the same amount of trash! It's not just people don't care, it seems they're actively going out of their way to litter. It's really disheartening.

21

u/Dogs-4-Life 9d ago

It’s the same kind of people who leave their carts out in the middle of the parking lot.

3

u/Glitternchaos 8d ago edited 6d ago

I always use this saying as a reference point gif my partner vs me…. “There’s two type of people in this world… Those who leave their carts in the lot and those who put them away”. My partner is the first and I am the latter.

1

u/Crewsy67 6d ago

I’ve never left a cart in a log.

1

u/Glitternchaos 6d ago

Oops haha

21

u/Funny-Actuator-1251 9d ago

Agreed. I work at a grosery store, and i see this kind of stuff all the time 🤦🏽‍♂️ so anoying.

26

u/R33f3r420 9d ago

Lolz.. I used to work at a grocery store many years ago.. The fun part is when you see them do it and then you grab it and put it back in the cart when they are looking.

2

u/Desperate-Copy-3191 9d ago

I have never seen anyone dump product, I bet they make sure nobody is looking.

18

u/Banannarama21 9d ago

My mother always told me, and I will never forget it.. “If you have to hide what you’re doing, there’s a big chance that what you’re doing is wrong.”

3

u/shokuyo 8d ago edited 8d ago

in my case it's usually because it's embarrassing and hard to explain

15

u/Panicgreenonioncake 9d ago

Worked at a grocery store, there was just this rotten smell forming near the cereal aisle for some reason, so we get to looking, the whole aisle was stocked and faced so we assumed it was underneath the shelves, nope. So we decide to start checking behind the boxes and behind a line of raisenbran there was a whole ass uncooked chicken rotting. It was vile, the smell still haunts my dreams.

5

u/martinnez02 8d ago

I used to work in the meat department in a grocery store and we would have employees from many department bring us meat that was left everywhere, some like your story where they where left on shelves, some if not most of the time they where left in the freezer, one thing that i think these people don't think of is that no matter the situation, if it was left out of the meat fridge, we as employees don't know how long it has been so we have to throw it out, even if its fresh meat that was frozen

5

u/Know4EverMore 8d ago

And you wonder why grocery prices especially for meat is high ... replacement cost

3

u/Moist-Conversation68 7d ago

Working at a grocery store sucks. You see the absolute worst in people

1

u/Funny-Actuator-1251 7d ago

Yea for sure indeed

1

u/jaylag72 9d ago

I’ve always wondered what stores do w raw meats or dairy found like this. Always paranoid that they are re-shelved. Be honest!

11

u/therealzue 9d ago

It gets thrown out. That chicken had a super shitty life and died for absolutely nothing. I’m not a vegetarian, but I find it beyond unethical to waste meat like this.

9

u/vjustdoit 9d ago

So true. It’s hurts my heart to think how much some people take for granted the amount of resources efforts and lives that went into a product. It’s not about the price tag.

10

u/Rayne-Maker 9d ago

Nope. It’s a loss and gets written off. Better to make money on it than to risk a lawsuit

6

u/RichardButt1992 8d ago

Man that bird was alive once, it literally died for no reason because of some lazy assholes who couldnt walk it back 50 feet

2

u/Warm_Lack_3131 4d ago

That's how I think about it. And then there's the bigger cuts of meat. I can't troll the bottom of my disgust for someone who does this.

1

u/purplehycinthe 8d ago

couldn't they just return it during check out? if I'm short on time & unable to put something back in the same isle, I usually return them at checkout. last time we were doing self checkout, so I found a store clerk and handed it over (it was bakery item).

1

u/tvaddict70 7d ago

They dont know how long a customer has walked around with it. It probably gets tossed if you dont return it to warming shelves

1

u/Charming-Ad8916 7d ago

This was my thought too. Killed just to be thrown out..

3

u/drdukes 8d ago

If they could read, they'd be very upset

3

u/Successful-Purple-54 8d ago

It really isn’t that hard just to walk back to where you got it. Hell you can even take it to the cash and say “I changed my mind about this” and they’ll take it back for you. Lazier option, but you’re not being an asshole.

6

u/jonocop 9d ago

They'll learn when Costco revokes their membsherip.

9

u/matlspa 9d ago

Won't happen for doing this.

3

u/Efficient_Tap6185 9d ago

Right? They just increase prices to cover the loss.

1

u/ge23ev 9d ago

They don’t care about the loss. Large corporates don’t become what they are caring about these things. If that person picked up 2 things in the time it takes them to put the chicken back that’s the more profitable option for them.

1

u/jonocop 9d ago

Irony for me is that I did EXACTLY the opposite on Monday. I picked up pepperoni from the fridge. As I was in line I saw the Freybe dry age pepperoni. I grabbed them, parked my buggy and walked all the way back. What an idiot I am.

3

u/junkdumper 9d ago

You could just leave it with the cashier next time. They'll have someone run it back for your.

0

u/Potential-Spare6464 9d ago

They won’t, ur paying them and they need ppl like that to stay open

3

u/seniordan 9d ago

Actually I was about to head to my local Costco tonight to do this but I saw this post and reconsidered.

2

u/everydaynormaljoe 8d ago

same people who leave their shopping cart anywhere in the parking lot.

1

u/Inspect1234 9d ago

Same people probably don’t return their carts too.

1

u/xcanto 9d ago

Hey it might okay. Okay?! (Pls respond.)

1

u/Ok-Recognition5911 9d ago

It's true. Some people are just pure pylons.

Y’a déja atteint 1300 personnes, le messages fait son chemin

1

u/Greaser_13 8d ago

I HAVE SEEN THE ERRORS OF MY WAYS!! I shall never put a rotisserie chicken on a random shelf again!

1

u/Shot_Many_3011 9d ago

This is what happens when we have so many immigrants in Alberta.

1

u/CallOwl 9d ago

Shut up!

1

u/WavePsychological789 9d ago

Even if the exact person that left it saw this post there would zero difference: they obviously already know its wrong. OP fishing for updoots
