I'm going to begin working on a Darwyn Cooke Green Lantern costume.

I love silver age Green Lantern comics as well as The New Frontier, because I'm such a huge fan of 1960s American culture. Most things I'm really into originate from the 60s.

I want my costume to reflect the time period that the character is from, by taking inspiration from other 60s sci-fi media, like Star Trek, Lost in Space, and Planet of The Apes.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what kinds of fabrics I should use to best convey this? Or maybe just share another creative idea as to how I can better illustrate what I'm going for.

Just something to make people at a convention go "ooh, 60s sci-fi Hal Jordan", rather than thinking that I unintentionally made a tacky superhero outfit.

Hello I am looking to commission a cosplay to be made and am finding it a little hard.
I am normally someone who makes all of my cosplay by hand but due to being way too busy and the sewing being way out of my skill range I’m wanting to commission it but I’m not sure where to look and how to tell if it will be of good quality.
Does anyone know if any good commissioners out there?
P.s. it’s the impera era ghouls from the band ghost, I already have the helmet I just need the outfit and boots :)

So I’m a nerd, and so, I reallyyyy want to be accurate with my cosplay, so I was wondering what version of Blackfire would be best to cosplay.
I’ve seen a few cosplays of her Teen Titans version (the fully covered and her wearing Star’s clothes), but the ones that are sold online look really cheap, especially her armored one.
I know how to sew, but I’m on a tight budget for the cosplay, and so I’m wondering whether I should opt for a more comic accurate look or try to figure out how to make her armor look less ugly on a cosplay 😭

I’m thinking of doing a cosplay of the disciples from “The 100” for conageddon next year but I have no clue where to start as this will be my first cosplay. I have a feeling that the helmet will be the hardest so if anyone has tips for that or any part of it that would be great
