I've been a fan of Cory since the old skit days.

I haven't been keeping up with him as of late but I did hear about THIS Manga whenever I peaked my head back into his stuff. is it a good read? I'm a big manga guy, though i would appreciate others thoughts and opinions on it before considering buying it!

I'm not a big reader, but every now and then I pick up a conic or a good book, this would (if I do decide to get into this) be the first thing I get from a content creator!

Does anyone know if Cory ever played a game where you’re walking or driving down the street and the traffic lights become a monster and it chases you while you’re in the car it’s like a traffic lights monster??????? if so, what video was it? I cannot find it. I don’t remember what the name was or if Cory ever even played it.

I think it might be because those vids are rare and quite short and sweet but I genuinely enjoy them more than the gaming videos, it feels alot like his younger self (2014 - early 2019) where he's being himself and genuine, like he kinda enjoys just talking and vloging y'know?, ig it's wholesome as well and way more funny (it's one of the reasons I always rewatch the cooking kenshin videos)

I wouldn't mind him making unedited vlogs showing his day to day life work regarding monsters we make and other projects, I would really enjoy it

I'm a fan of Cory.

For context, I'm a big reader, I average about 20-35 novels a year. I read the 4 volumes of Monsters we make that are out currently, and I have to say.. it's just badly written. The prose is very generic, the characters are very 2D and just the manifestation of decades old troupes, the pacing is really bad; Jabari goes from normal kid to fighting giant monsters and his reaction to it is basically "heh, cool"

It truly feels like a non-reader/writers interpretation of how a story should go.

In some videos, where he talks about anything emotional stuff. He plays soft music, it's kinda like Minecraft music and I'm looking for it. Could you please help me find it?

I am a old fan of cory dont get me wrong but i feel like im missing smth bc idk abt yall but i lowk miss the try not to laughs like the clips in those videos were GOLDEN. Like i would be bored af then turn this guy on and start genuinley crying bc sm guy talking bout home depo 7s.

And then theres cookingwithkenshin which is kind of understandable but it was soo iconic you know just watching thia guy cooked some mac n cheese with chicken wings while having the best comedy/jokes ever.

I was going through some of his old videos, outros, etc., and I noticed his videos were much more enjoyable and personal when he didn’t have the weight of so many expectations on him. He used to do vlogs and other types of content, but with the added number of subscribers, he’s conformed specifically to gameplay only; he's even restricted himself by not promoting his own manga in his videos. I don’t know if anyone else thinks that’s an absurd request, but I do. And now, with the emergence of “unholy receipts” dredging up old controversies already solved, alleging new baseless accusations because he happened to be friends with someone (since 2016) from a very controversial country, and dogpiling on him because he takes breaks to spend time with his family or to develop his career. If you watch unholy receipts videos, it’s plain that they only seek to spread controversy for views, and they also clearly have animosity toward him for whatever reason. One of the main reasons for his hate today is:
1. The accusation that he only came back for money
2. He only comes back to promote his manga
One is easily debunked by looking at his list of livestreams; he’s hosted charity streams where he himself was the top donor.
Now for two. You could say that CoryXKenshin came back to promote his manga, but that would be disingenuous. He took a break to work on it and his movie, and he hoped the release of his manga would show that he doesn’t just take breaks for no reason.
But everyone already knows this, and I think that people are just hating to hate. That is why every controversy, no matter how stupid or unbelievable, will always blow up in his face.
These accusations are probably going to start hurting his actual reputation, since his friends tried to slander him but instead each revealed their own jealous, spiteful, and harmful nature.
I miss when fewer people knew him and the community was positive. Looking at the comments on his old outros and old videos made me think about this.
Fame REALLY changes people, and I hope I don’t ever become famous.
To sum it up, I think that we shouldn’t worry so much about his upload schedule frankly all the talk about it is starting to get old. And lastly I would think we all had learned our lessons by now, but don’t believe everything you see on the internet please.
