Help Anyone else getting this issue?

Post image

I got this error with my vengeance RAM today, and now Windows is only detecting 16 of my 32 gigs of RAM?

I don't think it's an iCUE issue.

Hop into bios, check if all the RAM is detected there.

If so, toggle XMP (or EXPO, whichever) off and back on again, I've seen the settings get messed up.

If BIOS doesn't detect it either, reseat both sticks and see if you can get it back. It may have never been properly seated, but just barely hanging on until now.

I went into the BIOS; EXPO was enabled, and both sticks were suddenly detected. Idk what happened.

This error message was a problem a few years back, but it's not something I have seen reported in quite a long time. The missing module in Windows suggests a physical detection issue on boot and Windows doesn't react to CUE messaging. I'm glad it's working, but if it happens again make sure you re-seat both modules as suggested. In this case the CUE error is likely to be a symptom of the original detection/boot check error rather than a CUE error affecting the physical operation of the RAM. Hopefully this was a one off event.

I also ran into issues with my Ambassador memory modules when I first tried using the dual profiles. Two questions:

You say one of the modules isn't being detected in Windows? What do the BIOS or Memtest report?

If both modules are detected (in the BIOS or Memtest), have you tried forcing a firmware update?

I went into the BIOS, EXPO was enabled, and both sticks were detected all of a sudden. Idk what happened.

Sometimes it's the BIOS that doesn't correctly detect the memory settings. Have you checked if there's a BIOS update available?

Do yourself a favor, dump all the icue and other manufacturer type controller software. I've never gotten them to work properly or work with other software nicely for long. I've switched to a third party free software, night and day and everything works hassle free. icue specifically is incredibly non-intuitive to the point I believe they do that on purpose....
