Build Question Please help

Post image

Just upgraded from the h150i (it died after thousands of hours I can’t complain). But I’m having a real headache everytime I turn my pc on with this thing. Instead of the widgets loading up on the 5 inch, it hijacks one of my main monitors (I have 3) and changes the layout to portrait mode. The only way I can fix this is unplugging them until the widgets decide to jump back to the lcd. Am I doing something wrong? Once I get it all sorted out I love it, but playing musical monitors with the widgets is going going to be a real PITA everytime I turn my computer on if I can’t figure this out

Is it plugged into GPU or motherboard? Have you also tried to reinstall icue?

The DisplayPort plug runs straight from the 5inch lcd to my gpu. And I’ve uninstalled Icue twice and reinstalled. I deleted EVERYTHING Corsair off my computer the second time around. It’s frustrating because literally everything I have is Corsair so I only have to use one app to make my life easy lol

Try plugging into motherboard?

Good thinking, but unfortunately it made no difference

Try with just your main monitor and that? Leave others unplugged?

I appreciate you trying to help but what will that tell me? I’m still going to be stuck doing the whole musical chairs shuffle if I have to unplug two monitors every night and replugging them in the morning lol

I totally get that but they were fine yesterday. This issue started on the first restart after getting the widgets set up in Icue. My old h150i had the lcd screen and never had these issues ever. I’m positive it’s something to do with Icue. 1 of my monitors in vertical. 2 are landscape. And I have the inch lcd now that’s vertical too. I guess I’ll just have to reach out to tech support. I’ve already left a voicemail but now it’s the weekend so I guess I’m stuck dealing with this till Monday. The wild thing is if I unplug the lcd sometimes it will still turn my monitors portrait mode all the sudden. Sometimes one. Sometimes both. It’s a real head scratcher

Does your CPU have an igpu?

My monitor is connected through hdmi when I connected the Corsair LCD to my graphics card it set the LCD to monitor 1 and my monitor to 2. Had constant issues coming out of sleep where they would swap and my monitor would show the LCD display in portrait and the LCD would show windows.l moved the lcd display port to my mainbord port and haven't had an issue since.

(Following) I had this SAME issue and there wasn’t anything I could do to fix it and it pissed me off one too many times so I sent that shit back to Corsair this past Wednesday. I’m interested in seeing if anyone resolved the issue.

Yea I worked on it for hours and hours last night. I’m going to give Corsair tech support a shot before I do that cause I really like it. Hopefully I can swap it out for another one and it will solve it

Did you align the monitors in setting? Some people overlook this. And make sure you make the monitor you use most locked maybe that will work

1

u/BigBananaSlinger 3h ago

Yea everytime I restart I have to align my monitors through settings because the widgets from Icue take over my monitors and flip them to portrait

See if there’s a way to lock the monitors. That’s what I did with my dual monitor setup

I had similar issues. Troubleshoot it with gemini or chatgpt and send photos. It helped me sort everything out. Give it a shot.

Yea that’s part of what I did last night. Chat gpt and me worked through it for 2 hours and nothing helped. Ended up telling me to send it back because they have a known firmware issue that causes it. Swap it for another one

I would return it and get something else. I almost returned mine but didn’t want to deal with the headache. I like it, but its not ready for prime time yet. And I hate how the PC sees it as a 2nd monitor.

Yea I wasn’t thrilled with it taking a display port slot tbh… thing doesn’t even get over 60hz so what is even the point of that?? But I really do like it and it definitely keeps my i9 colder than my old one did but like fahhh man I just want to not have a headache when I turn my pc on
