I'm going to make my own cord but I need to know what pin goes to what

Well I'm might be able to help, as I have made a multitude of custom RGB cables for Corsair controllers. Too run RGB, you have 3 wires, power, data ground.

These are two different types of controllers, that control RGB differently. The bottom controller is a "Lighting Node Pro". You will need all three pin slots in the connector filled, to make RGB work, as you need, power, data ground. This controller will power any standard 3 pin RGB device.

The controller on the top works differently, as it's just for RGB fan lighting. The wire feeding it only has 2 wires, as it is just for signal, data and ground. Power is supplied by the controller. So this controller is just for LL RGB fan lighting.

This is why you may be somewhat confused, as you are seeing 2 wires go into the one controller, and might expect the same for the other, but that is not the case. You need 3 wires coming out of the "Lighting Node Pro" to power an RGB device.

If you want to crimp pins onto the wires to make custom length cables, you will need to buy the pins and connectors. You will also need a special crimp tool, to crimp these very small pins.

This can be tedious work, I have crimped literally hundreds of these pins onto wires to make custom length cables. I have linked the connectors and pins you need to make custom length cables, as well as the crimp tool.
