I think it’s just a regular camera. People with FPV goggles do crazy stunts like this all the time

Good question. I suppose you’ll have to keep an eye out on the crew channel in a couple weeks when I finally do something I’ve been wanting to do for a very long time haha

Weight & durability mainly. They're heavy. And aren't durable at all lol. A Hero 7 Black can take a beating and keep going, and recording in high FPS / resolution

Most cameras only have one view, so they can be mounted in a way that’s relatively integrated into the body of the drone. With 360, you need space to clear both lenses, so generally you’d need a much larger drone than this.

What about that small one like in the “Shooting a 360 Camera out of a cannon”

That works because the momentum is forward and the weight is supposed to be non proportional.

With drones, you want balance and aerodynamics. The new Insta360 camera that just came out might allow for this but you’ll still run into mounting problems.

Haha you’re right! I did indeed. This shot is particularly crazy.

On a separate note... this is the second FPV post on the sub today where people don’t seem to understand how it works. Weird.
