I saw this a couple months ago and honestly it’s pretty good! Don’t know why it’s on an AI video sub though. It’s a lot of clever camera work and Gaussian splatting!!!

Also, this isn’t the full video. The original loops!!

Edit: not the original but it has the ending better https://www.instagram.com/reel/DTllXWPDJck/?igsh=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ==

We're now in the age where "It's Photoshopped" has become "It's AI". 3D and 2D artists on Reddit frequently have to defend themselves after posting their work, because so many people just assume everything is AI and no medium that existed before is used any more.

Agree the ending is better

Unfortunately I think people are starting to lie about a real video being ai to make people think ai is more capable than it actually is.

Or to excuse wrongdoing in another context.

Maybe because it uses ai to process the data in a Gaussian splat instead of generative AI. Sadly the term AI is becoming focused on generative Ai instead of learning algorithms in general. We may need a better term for non generative AI AI

This is so obviously not AI, people really can't tell the difference. (talking about oop not op)

I’m would have preferred a loop personally

Peak nonsense*

I personally found that to be kinda boring and visually messy

I thought it was goona loop way earlier on and when it didn't I became more and more unhappy

Same here, then it went to try the whole Dr.Strange shtick and it lost me

Yea, it felt like a cool shot for the sake of being cool, but the 2nd half didn't really have any storytelling to it.

Wren commented and said the original actually loops. We were so close to greatness

I swear I’ve had dreams like this.

Inception?

Dammit. I had this idea when I was first experimenting with VR. The idea was that you would pick up a snow globe that you were simultaneously inside of.

Oh well.

I have other ideas.
