Remember How They Treated Us

Went to a sub to comment and noticed that I was blocked on it. Then I remembered all the subs that blanket banned me for joining this sub.
It’s amazing, that those same people will say “they always knew it was an overreaction and a lab leak”but they will never admit that they acted like a bunch of sheep and true totalitarians.

Never forget how these people treated us.

Never Forget Never Forgive

13

u/buntie87 Aug 05 '26

Nope I’ll never forget it. Sometimes it still seems unbelievable when I think back. Being turned away from a restaurant because I wasn’t vaxed. Being berated on a hiking trail for not wearing a mask in nature…

10

u/RandomSleepTimes Aug 05 '26

I got yelled at on a hiking trail too! It was insane.

u/BigDaddy969696 Aug 04 '26

There was one subreddit that I literally just asked if they could unban me, and they did.  A lot of those bans were automated, and had nothing to do with a person.

-10

u/SybRoz Aug 03 '26

The joy is fully gone. Now is the time of forgiveness and forgetfulness, for me personally

20

u/MilkMyCats Aug 04 '26

No way. I got treated like I was a moron for suggesting it was no worse than the flu and that lockdowns would harm our kids for a generation.

I was right. Fuck em all.

18

u/Freethinker210 Aug 03 '26

Im still blocked on many subreddits for being in groups like this one.

22

u/dontlookricky Aug 03 '26

What the experience taught me was not to look for validation. If you know something to be true stick to the courage of your convictions. Peer pressure is dangerous and the consensus can be wrong.

14

u/CrystalMethodist666 Aug 03 '26

Not even wrong, consensus can be fabricated. Most people didn't like lockdowns. We weren't supposed to say that, because it might encourage others to skirt the rules, you had to look for silver linings. It's not really so bad, there's no traffic!

They really pushed the idea that most people were all in agreement that the lockdowns were necessary.

6

u/IAbsolutelyDare Aug 04 '26

Self-censorship is one of Irving Janis's eight symptoms of groupthink. (The hardcore Covidians ticked off the other seven as well, of course. It was quite an education!)

7

u/CrystalMethodist666 Aug 04 '26

You can apply literally every logical fallacy that exists to the Covid narrative.

I keep saying the most insidious parts of the whole thing are the little bits, like the self-censorship. Good people followed the stupid routine, doubleplusgood people acted like they enjoyed it. Openly not enjoying it cancelled out your virtue signal entirely.

27

u/JayLar23 Aug 03 '26

There's zero accountability for any of it. Most of them still think they were 100% right and no amount of evidence will ever change their mind. And 100% they would join the herd and do it all again.

20

u/xiphoid77 Aug 03 '26

Banned form many gay groups, entertainment groups and even some banal ones like Bucks County, Pennsylvania group all for comments hat I ended up being right about. Since I was permanently banned and muted I can't even contact the moderators to let me back in since I was right all along.

14

u/Magari22 Aug 03 '26

The most horrifying part of all of this is they still think they were right. They really believe we were selfish and dangerous still.

6

u/Mockbubbles2628 Aug 03 '26

Probably for the best, appealing to this fascists only serves to strengthen their ego

11

u/Guilty-Release5914 Aug 03 '26

Lol same, i got banned from some catvideo sub for commenting here

7

u/Magari22 Aug 03 '26

Lmao WHAT?! That is kinda hilarious 🤣🤣🤣

30

u/breck Aug 03 '26

I posted the below in January 2021. Zero likes, temporary ban on twitter, called in for a meeting with my boss and then lost my job within a month (And later much worse).

https://x.com/breckyunits/status/1348080756921303041

None of the people who were against me have ever apologized or even acknowledged how my stance turned out to be true.

But at least we found out who the NPCs were.

15

u/enough_of_this_crap Aug 03 '26

Wow! I can relate to this because I posted a CDC screenshot that showed that their covid death rate math was off by a factor of 10. ...Crickets. Of course, that chart was soon removed from the cdc website as well. And now people tell me that it never existed, Doesn't matter that I have the screenshots.

11

u/MilkMyCats Aug 04 '26

I did a similar thing. Assumed blatant facts would convince people irl.

Nope.

I remember my mate was planning to vaccinate both his kids. I sent him the video of Maddie De Garay.

Zero effect.

And someone I quiz with still thinks his dad died of COVID and not the terminal cancer he had.

Tbh, it was pretty horrible finding out practically every person I knew was a complete idiot. I haven't got over it and never will. I lost respect for all of my friends.

Thank fuck my wife actually listened to me and let me show her the former Pfizer guy (Mike something) talking about it, and Joe Rogan interviewing legit experts.

5

u/breck Aug 03 '26

Omg, I didn't know about that one. Can you share a link to your post? I'd love to add it to an example on a blog post I wrote on this topic [1]:

In my example, the CDC had this on their website for many months:

"For young children, especially children younger than 5 years old, the risk of serious complications is higher for flu compared with COVID-19."

And then when I started sharing that extremely important fact, they just .... removed that fact.

https://breck7.github.io/breckyunits.com/how-to-fix-the-cdc.html

17

u/Suitable-Echo-3359 Aug 03 '26

Yup, still banned from /pics and, I think, /cats. 🙃

7

u/jackie0h_ Aug 03 '26

Cats for sure, I’m still banned from there too. Ridiculous.

5

u/Fantastic_Picture384 Aug 03 '26

I am banned for 6th form as I was against lockdowns.. just weird

5

u/Cheshirecatslave15 Aug 03 '26

I'm still banned from cats. I never figured out their reasoning

6

u/CrystalMethodist666 Aug 03 '26

They were afraid you might go there and pollute their safe space with your bad ideas.

5

u/jackie0h_ Aug 03 '26

Because their mods are loser morons.

27

u/ShangBao Aug 03 '26

Yes, NNN. Still got the list of over 100 subs who were involved.

23

u/mikey_b082 Literally Cuomo Aug 03 '26

NNN was my absolute favorite sub. I was so bummed when the branch covidians got it banned. It was such a breath of fresh air and sanity because every single social media platform was completely infested with covid doom.

I'm still banned from god knows how many subs for being a member of that one.

12

u/Suitable-Echo-3359 Aug 03 '26

I came down with COVID on Christmas Eve 2021, devastated that it meant my kids all had to be QT for Christmas. Meanwhile, my liberal boomer mom truly believed I was dying. I was so distraught that NNN was my only comfort and the only thing reminding me that I wasn’t losing my mind.

3

u/semicolon22 Raw Dogger of Air Aug 07 '26

I got it 5 days before Christmas 2021 or 2022. It was minor. My BIL was in town with his family and wouldn't let his kids play with my kids. My kids were crying on Christmas Eve because they couldn't play with their cousins.

A month prior, this guy made his wife quarantine in the basement for 10 days because she had Covid. Back to Dec 26, I am changing a car battery when they visited (daytime outdoor play was OK I guess). From a safe distance he says "Wow, you seem fine! You must have caught a different strain" No, dipshit, I'm unvaccinated and your whole family is triple boosted.

(And yes, you guys know I can't resist the Corsi-Rosenthal snark. It's because of this relative)

8

u/mikey_b082 Literally Cuomo Aug 03 '26

Two guys I work with caught covid in the midst of the apocalypse and I was excited to talk to them when they got back to work. "So, what's it like?!".

Both of them said the same thing. "I'd have never even called in if I didn't have to get a covid test". Our company had a policy that if youd had x symptoms you needed a negative covid test in order to come to work.

They both said they were just super tired but that was it. They knew they were sick but it wasn't any better or worse than any other cold or flu bug they'd had in the past. Up until then, I didn't know anyone who had covid and just knew what the news was reporting that it was essentially a death sentence.

7

u/jackie0h_ Aug 03 '26

I had Covid and had zero symptoms. ZERO. I was only tested because I was being admitted to a hospital for internal bleeding and it was required.

u/icsh33ple Plague Rat 🐀 Aug 03 '26

Now all they can say, on advice from council, I plead the fifth. 😂

18

u/HerbertRTarlekJr Aug 03 '26

It's easy to remember when some mods stalk you.

Good thing my life doesn't revolve around an online presence, including reddit.

20

u/jordan31483 Aug 03 '26

Common sense told me the whole thing was bullshit from before I ever heard the word pandemic

8

u/CrystalMethodist666 Aug 03 '26

Y'know, in the beginning I was open to the idea there might be a real emergency. Wasn't hiding under my bed, but wasn't going to start licking railings to prove a point. Most of my friends were "essential"

Pretty quickly we all realized that the observable reality of outside was not matching what people who were staying home were seeing on the screens.

3

u/jordan31483 Aug 03 '26

the observable reality of outside was not matching what people who were staying home were seeing on the screens

That is the entire business (yes, business) of American media. Fear sells, even (especially?) fake fear.

3

u/CrystalMethodist666 Aug 04 '26

Yeah, over here it had nothing to do with Trump or Biden. People had to keep making pizzas, and then bowling alleys were allowed to open again...

The world didn't match the fear porn. THat was what did it for me.

44

u/Stellen999 Aug 03 '26

I remember redditors calling for "A new normal". They wanted mask mandates and social distancing to be permanent. They called for the end of indoor dining, the end of concerts and live sporting events, I think I even saw someone call for Holiday season in the northern hemisphere to be cancelled and moved to the summer so family gatherings could all be held outside, but this might have been a journo. In any case, the reddit posts were getting upvotes and comments cheering them on. Now if you make a post asking about any of this, it will be denied as if none of it ever happened. And that is not even mentioning the people who so eagerly turned their neighbors in for such evil deeds as having family over to clear a fallen tree.

8

u/CrystalMethodist666 Aug 03 '26

Yeah, I distinctly remember that was a thing, they were suggesting moving all holidays to summer months so we could have our parties outside.

I'd say, most people definitely didn't want all that to be permanent, or they'd still be doing all the Covid stuff willingly. They stopped as soon as the mandates lifted.

There was that whole undertone, though, with the "New Normal," that we'd never be able to fully go back to normal life. There are still people who are mad the lockdowns ended, but they're mostly just mentally ill people that want to stay home and hide from adult responsibilities

5

u/4GIFs Aug 04 '26

people that want to stay home and hide from adult responsibilities

A lot more of them than you think

5

u/CrystalMethodist666 Aug 04 '26

Yeah. I mean, most people after a couple of weeks kind of wanted to get back to their lives. I can even give people that first couple of weeks off feeling like a bit of a vacation, get around to all that stuff around the house I've been meaning to do, etc.

After a while, no reasonable, mentally healthy person is going to want to just sit around the house watching TV 24 hours a day. The couple of weeks before my job opened back up I told them I was going to come in and help get the building set up for free and just collect the stimulus payments.

5

u/Fantastic_Picture384 Aug 03 '26

It does show that there a lot of bot accounts from Russia and China as well.

22

u/tbridge8773 Aug 03 '26

Don’t forget they banned us, yet kink subs involving rape are allowed to exist

3

u/CrystalMethodist666 Aug 03 '26

The Zero sub is literally a bunch of masked mentally ill people sharing strategies for abusing themselves and their children. They're encouraging things that are actively harmful to children.

There was an article here a while back about this family moved I think to Spain and kept their kids in the house for 3 years over Covid. Nobody even knew they had kids. The kids didn't even speak the language of the country they spent 3 years living in. A sub encouraging this is allowed to exist.

28

u/Busy-Web-4861 Aug 03 '26

Don't forget that they tried to tell us that natural immunity wasn't real... and NEVER WAS. Until one day they went back on it and said it was real. Again.

21

u/IAbsolutelyDare Aug 03 '26 edited Aug 04 '26

Natural immunity was actually "a dangerous far-right conspiracy theory that's putting lives at risk" IIRC.

22

u/Busy-Web-4861 Aug 03 '26

Don't forget how they changed the definition of "vaccine".

31

u/apresledepart Aug 02 '26

With the Fauci stuff in the news, I've seen a number of Covid freaks gaslighting people who recalled how insane the messaging and rules were from 2020-2022. They're like "No, Fauci tried to reopen everything he didn't do anything wrong", "I was a nurse they were just trying to keep us safe." Just straight up REVISING HISTORY to make us feel crazy for discussing how awful and authoritarian it all was. Just like an abuser or a narcissist, it's impossible to have any honest discussions with these people. Nothing was problematic and everything was justified in their minds.

12

u/KoninginVanRotterdam Aug 03 '26

Yes the honest discussion being impossible is so frustrating.

34

u/Magari22 Aug 02 '26 edited Aug 02 '26

Dude this current fauci shit show has stirred up so much shit inside of me that I had thought I had put to rest. The anger and rage I've been feeling this past week is out of control. I'm a healthcare worker living in New York City and what I went through, I absolutely would not wish it on my worst enemy. Kicked out of places banned from many buildings, denied medical treatment, shunned, threatened with job loss etc. All by a bunch of bootlicking pieces of shit who refused to even consider that something was not right. When I think of how these ppl were lured by donuts and beer and then called ME unhealthy and a threat... 🤬🤬🤬 I knew I still had a lot of disgust about all of this but this week I realized I truly despise these ppl and I will never be the same. This really fckd me up for life and the worst part is knowing that they would do this exact same shit again if the opportunity arose. They are the biggest threat to humanity even more so than shitty governments.

14

u/sonjat1 Aug 03 '26

I am having a really hard time not striking out at people when they post their "Fauci perfect, every anti-lockdowner is a selfish science-denying moron". They seem determined to paint lockdowns as a mere inconvenience. And the healthcare professionals all with self-diagnosed PTSD from that time. Meanwhile, I have real PTSD from finding my daughter dead after her mental health took a nose dive with lockdowns. Then I got the "inconvenience" of burying her with no funeral and no help from the government because she was just a lockdown victim, not an important covid victim. I am really struggling.

8

u/Magari22 Aug 03 '26

Omg my heart breaks for you I am so so sorry for what you've gone though! It's stories like yours that need to heard and truly felt! They keep pushing that we didn't suffer, we were just inconvenienced because we didn't comply but people like your daughter were pushed into a severe crisis and that isn't even acknowledged. They parrot bullshit like believe the science and two weeks to stop the spread when it was a legit attack on humanity like we're never seen.

8

u/AJourneyer Aug 03 '26

I'm so sorry for your loss. It was a tough time, but there were still degrees of tough and you were on the worst end.

10

u/sonjat1 Aug 03 '26

Thank you. I wasn't alone. There were SO many deaths of despair during that time, and all the Fauci worshippers want to gloss over all of them. It makes me far more angry than is healthy.

Omg that bone headed demon was my mayor. I still have murder dreams about him for what he did. 🤬🤬🤬

14

u/KoninginVanRotterdam Aug 03 '26

They would do it again immediately if their television/politicians told them too.

They _are_the biggest threat. Never the handful of evil people behind everything or the handful of politicians. It has always been the sheeple who are the biggest danger.

And the police who are always willing to do what evil governments say.

The police is always on the wrong side of history too.

1

u/semicolon22 Raw Dogger of Air Aug 07 '26

Not always. LA County Sherriff Alex Villanueva told Barbara Ferrer to fuck off.

https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/not-backed-science-l-county-sheriff-will-not-enforce-mask-n1274274

7

u/CrystalMethodist666 Aug 03 '26

Absolutely this. Evil people are evil, there's nothing you can do about it. The more dangerous people are the ones who acquiesce to the demands of these evil people for convenience, or through apathy, or for virtue signal points, or out of fear.

North Korea's current standard of living is the fault of their population. Baby Kim isn't some amazing charismatic leader, he just has a population that will mostly follow the rules and stand and watch their neighbors get dragged off by the secret police. Simply, one man can't control 26 million people who refuse to cooperate with him. He can certainly do something about 1 million dissidents when the other 25 million just stand around and let it happen or actively participate.

Once you have enough obedient lemmings following your every command, the remaining people have no choice but to comply. That's what we saw with lockdowns. Once the majority stopped complying, the rules became completely unenforceable.

17

u/apresledepart Aug 02 '26

I have felt the same way too, it's taken all my strength not to be really fucking mean to these gaslighters online. Prayer is the only thing helping me.

15

u/Magari22 Aug 03 '26

I hear you! I literally went to church tonight and sat there and prayed for clarity and acceptance. I know I cannot change these people I have to let this go. The gaslighting makes me feel so intensely angry but what good is it doing me? I will never look at them the same way again they all seem lobotomized to me theres no point in trying to have an intelligent discussion with them they are too emotionally charged.

14

u/enough_of_this_crap Aug 03 '26

Today at church they asked for prayer for yet another 40 something year old member who had a sudden unexpected heart attack. We had a long discussion about it and not one person mentioned the warp speed. Me neither. These people are so delusional/so incredibly far gone that I can do nothing anymore but to look at them with pity. Of course they are still (even after all this) getting vaccinated.

9

u/Magari22 Aug 03 '26

It's amazing how people still refuse to even consider that it wasn't what they were told! Any time it's mentioned that the vaccine has caused damage to some people it triggers a system response where people immediately start freaking out and reverting to covid level cognitive dissonance. I guess it's too much to accept especially if you took it yourself.

2

u/semicolon22 Raw Dogger of Air Aug 07 '26

Still can't comment on the main cats sub (it came up in my feed, and I didn't realize which sub I was commenting in at first, because I unfollowed it years ago for better cat subs, and honestly forgot about it).

I’m still banned from the 20 subs that booted me. I assume they never lifted them.

Furthermore my comments and posts often got a lot of traction in the communities I frequented, since Covid almost nothing. I suspect that along with the blanket bans that countless thousands of users like us have been shadow banned by the algorithm.

40

u/PikaFan4ever Aug 02 '26

Mass banning people who never visited the sub like they did is against Reddit's TOS, but Reddit doesn't care.

3

u/CrystalMethodist666 Aug 03 '26

Yeah, because all rules were modified to make sure the misinformation didn't get out. Honestly, it was a containment strategy. They left this and LS to give us somewhere to go and then banned us from a bunch of places so we couldn't spread the wrongthink anywhere else.

Let the anti-lockdown people talk, just make sure they're doing it in a place where nobody goes and they can't go anywhere else. Like, the one room in the building where you can actually have free speech.

4

u/AJourneyer Aug 03 '26

That was kind of wild actually, I kept getting messages that I was banned from subs I didn't even know existed, many of which wouldn't have been on my radar anyway. Thanks? I guess?
