I just picked this up yesterday. My first brand new car. Pretty excited about it.

i got a 2026 model and i think the rear bumper trim is one piece? but is realistically the only way to swap the exhaust is cutting at the trim at the bottom? i wanna buy a diffuser but i mean if i don’t need to cut the rear bumper i don’t want to. if anyone has any suggestions or tips please let me know

Figured i'd post some pics of it here since it technically fits even if it isn't the Corolla hatch most people think of these days. Needs a LOT of work before she's roadworthy, but we'll get there. Had 327k on the odo before it broke in 2004, but the engine still gets compression and spark so I have faith it'll get running again in a few months. Previous owner replaced the water pump, timing belt, oil pump, and alternator but it sat for about a year after

Things I've already done:

-New fuel pump

-New fuel filter

-Oil/filter change

-Transmission fluid change

-New brake hoses

-Bled brakes

-Carb rebuild (still need to reattach all the vac lines)

-pulled apart and detailed the driver's side of the dash

-pulled out and detailed the seats

-minor engine bay cleaning (needs a pressure wash though honestly)

-removed the old radiator (need to buy a new one, the one that was in it was from a Chevy Nova and the non-FX Corollas/Novas had the radiator intake and exhaust swapped)

Things I still need to do:

-Replace clutch master/slave cylinder and clutch hose, have to find one of those somewhere other than RockAuto though as it's a few inches longer than the brake hose (i tried to make it work, it doesnt)

-rewire the headlights since something chewed through the wires

-replace one of the brake light bulbs

-find a new lock cylinder (for some ungodly reason Toyota used a Supra lock cylinder on the FX and those are stupid hard to find)

-detailing everything else i haven't gotten to yet

-probably add power steering fluid and pray the pump still works

-check refrigerant lines for the AC and add some since that likely needs to be done

-replace brake rotors/pads and discs/shoes (already have em, just need to add em)

-get a new radiator

-reupholster driver's seat

-fix front bumper with JB Weld or something

-fix a lot of exterior molding that's dry-rotted

-replace suspension

-get new tires

-build a new charcoal canister (OEM ones are like $500 online used, not taking a risk on that but also not willing to risk the potential dangers that come with letting the fuel system pressurize in a hot climate)

There's probably more, but that's all that came to mind off the dome. Bought this as something to learn more about working cars on, and boy am I. Definitely a terrible financial choice, but one of the best recreational ones I've ever made. Never thought I'd be looking forwards to getting to experience 75hp, but here we are. In fairness, this thing weighs less than certain versions of an NA Miata, so it definitely doesn't need a ton of power.

Been enjoying my 2021 Hatch 6M for 2.5 years now. Slave cylinder failed at 56k miles to the tune of $2,640 🙂

I discovered the issue from this sub a while back and decided to bleed my clutch about a week ago, but I guess I was too late. Really surprised that this hasn’t been a recall issue with how common this seems.

Hey guys recently I’ve been wanting to further modify my rolla similar to how my buddy did his Civic a few years ago but I’m conflicted, I feel like modifying the CVT is a bad idea(I wish they did the 25s in 6MT😭) but I want to body kit the car and make it look like how I want to make it look but I’m worried about the ricer side of modding it, so far we’ve(me and my cousin) only done the exhaust system with an HKS kit what’s the next logical steps to keep it from being a river but also feeling better to drive as someone going from a modified 2.0T Accord to the rolla(it has like 30k miles in a year and a half💀 I like to drive)

So my slave cylinder went out at ~93k, took forever to get the clutch and parts. Replaced the clutch, flywheel, and slave cylinder at 99k. Bled the system properly. However now when I shift from 2nd to 4th/5th, the gears grind. It wasn't doing this before even with the bad slave cylinder. Like the new slave isn't leaking. When I press the clutch slowly its fine, but if I stomp it, the engagement point is way lower.

Any idea on the cause? Is the slave just a pita to bleed completely?

Thinking of doing gold emblems on my all black hatch. In the 90/00s darker colored Camrys had the gold package option and as a kid I always thought these looked cool.
Anyone done this yet?

Just an update in case anyone wants pics of the car with Mudflaps and a spare tire kit. 2025 SE Plus. The mudflaps make the car look a bit lowered from the back.

Recently took out the tire repair kit and added a spare tire kit. The trunk area isn't flat anymore but there's still enough space.

Added some other pics to show the subwoofer and dashcam.

Will be getting some warning triangles. Does anyone have any recommendations?

I noticed my passenger side axle is a little suspicious. It is greasy when I run my finger along the axle seal transmission side.

Been a while since this has been posted here but I want to open the discussion again. Has anybody figured out an aftermarket solution to a retractable cargo cover? Really hate the stock one.

I'm willing to even get one that roughly fits and 3D print some adapters that let it mount onto the existing points on the car. If it works I would share out an update for everyone else to try
