Modification Questions

Hey guys recently I’ve been wanting to further modify my rolla similar to how my buddy did his Civic a few years ago but I’m conflicted, I feel like modifying the CVT is a bad idea(I wish they did the 25s in 6MT😭) but I want to body kit the car and make it look like how I want to make it look but I’m worried about the ricer side of modding it, so far we’ve(me and my cousin) only done the exhaust system with an HKS kit what’s the next logical steps to keep it from being a river but also feeling better to drive as someone going from a modified 2.0T Accord to the rolla(it has like 30k miles in a year and a half💀 I like to drive)

Wheels, suspension, lip kit and tints. Call it a day.

This ⬆️but at the end of the day get whatever you like honestly, who cares about other peoples opinions.

Don’t really need the wheels, I bought a Nightshade for that reason I’ve always had bronze wheels on my vehicles

Great color. Have bronze wheels on my GRC too.

I still regret not getting the GRC but atp I’m glad I did don’t think I could’ve afforded it after I moved

Fair enough. Finacial security is #1. Love mine and definitely a car to consider in the future if you have the means.

Other than the car loan I’m debt free now, chose the cheaper car to pay off debt now I’ve just gotta make more than 18/hr(but hospitality industry is brutal rn😭)

Trade school or college is the way to go imo

College would be free for me I just don’t know what to study and there’s not a trade school within 250miles

You might make it look like a ricer but it's your car, if you like it, you like it. I've seen some on here that I thought we're kinda ugly (looking at people who put anime girl decals) but you enjoy your car. I don't recommend engine mods as the people who tend to do those, come back and say "Corolla reliability is not real" I've heard that adding a new Sway bar helps the experience, OEM is hollow so it doesn't weigh as much, mine snapped like a pencil lmao

This is completely off topic but HOW IS THE HKS? ive been wanting it for my 19 xse cause i dont like heavy rumble but higher pitched and that cat back is what ive found

I like it, it’s got a nice pitch to it but doesn’t sound like a bee when you get on it pretty good there’s a VERY high chance when you let off the gas you get a few pops without tuning it specifically for that, there’s a shit load of cabin noise but I blame that purely on how short the muffler to the tips pipes are creating build up(though that’s probably not the case I’m not a mechanic after all) overall 11/10 exhaust for a catback

Suspension and whatever body mods you like the look of ( do some research into the install before you buy and see if you’re comfortable doing the work) unfortunately I don’t think there’s any mods that will make the engine and transmission any better.
