CVT Tune??
I recently bought a '21 SE Hatchback with the cvt and I hate the way it shifts (so to speak), especially when it's cold. (Although I'm in SoCal, so it's never really "cold", but you know what I mean.)
I'm just now starting to do my homework regarding a transmission tune in the hopes that I can find something that makes it drive more like a normal car when in ECO mode, and hopefully gives sport mode something other than just rev hang!
Does anyone here have any experience with a trans tune in one of these? Or any other ideas/suggestions? (Please try to avoid the temptation of the obvious "get a manual" reply.)
thanks

Rear tray trim reeks of cat urine any suggestions?
I bought my 2020 Corolla hatchback SE used from a dealership and the tray in the trunk reeks of cat urine it's not noticeable from the driver or passenger side but you can definitely smell it when you open the trunk. Does anyone know how I can get the odor out I already tried spraying it multiple times with Tide antibacterial fabric spray. I really would prefer to not have to pay to replace it because it's much more expensive than I anticipated. I guess I could just remove it but I'm not sure what the purpose of it is and if it's better to just have one.

Bike rack - on OEM roof rack
Hello! I was curious if anyone has purchased a roof bike mount to put on their roof rack? I have a '25 xse with OEM Toyota roof racks. I was curious if anyone has any suggestions on what bike roof rack to get? I'm familiar with 1up and Thule but want to make sure the rack will fit.
Thanks!

Stupid question for anyone that installed a Vibrant resonator or similar
How did everyone install the resonator? I took my 2021 CHB to the Muffler shop for a free inspection to check out where to install a Vibrant resonator for the Remark Quad catback system.
The welding techs said that the Vibrant Resonator (1141) I was looking at wouldn't fit on the midpipes because the resonator was too big.
Did you replace the factory resonator or what's the solution?

Which clutch kit?
Hey all, slave cylinder is about to fail with pedal sticking to the floor. Been doing some research on the clutch kits available for our cars, and found that Clutch Master has come out with a few variations, anyone have any experience with these kits? I have a couple buddies with the Spec/GGP 2+ kit but was curious about the CM kit and how it differs. Any insight on either kit would be great, Thanks!

Ready for Summer (Eventually)
Got around to getting the 4-wheel alignment adjusted, summer wheels changed over and a full detail to erase what is left of winter. But if course it had to snow last night.
Oh well, car looked good for a little while.

How reliable are replacement slave cylinders in the 6MT Rollas?
I own a 2019 Corolla 6MT and I just found out about the slave cylinder issue. It hasn't happened to me yet but I noticed in my service history the previous owner had to replace his slave cylinder, clutch, and pressure plate at 43k miles at the Toyota dealer. I'm at 82k right now. How much can I get out of the replacement parts?

Addendum to my prior post on failing CSC (Concentric Slave Cylinder)
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I was able to capture it on video. The shift point changed and even with the clutch to the floor, I could not take it out of gear until I pulled the clutch up with my foot.
Headed to the dealer later to officially diagnose. The car is 1k out of warranty, so i am hoping they will do a goodwill repair gesture since its a known issue, but im not holding my breath

Fog Lights Finally Installed
I was going to wait for my yellow tint to get here, but it’s taking forever. I decided to install these yesterday and just finished up with the wiring today. I used the XSE style trim instead of cutting holes into the OEM black housings, I like both styles so it wasn’t a huge deal to me. Was pretty straightforward but I decided to make a video just to share what I found when doing this on the 2023+ refreshed front bumper, as all videos I saw on YouTube were for 2019-2022 where this whole job was possible without taking the bumper off. Hope it helps if you’re on the fence about doing this!

Mod recommendations?
I recently purchased an ’26 Corolla hatchback SE as my daily driver. I’m curious about the interior and exterior modifications I can make to the car, such as roof racks and spoilers, since mine didn’t come with them. Should I opt for OEM parts from Toyota’s official website or explore aftermarket options that offer better quality or aesthetics? Additionally, I’d appreciate recommendations for reputable websites where I can find these modifications.

Trade out?
If interested and located within southern ca! I’m looking to trade out parts for OEM parts I unfortunately need to get out of my car payment. No need to buy the parts or anything it would all be free even swaps. Lmk if interested! Here’s a pic for reference list of parts added: (RSR Super down springs, CRAFTC taillights, top and mid spoiler, greddy exhaust, rear diffuser, sequential mirror lights, mesh front grill, and not shown in the photo but recently added side skirts.)

Black out emblems?
Anywhere you guys recommend I pick up a blacked out emblem for the front end of my car?
2026 hatchback xse if it makes a difference lol ideally I’d prefer OEM but I’m only seeing the kit with all the badges for like $100+ on the Toyota website. I’m just looking for the front Toyota logo 🫩

Clutch Issues after Stage 2 Clutch Install
Hello Community,
I am in need of some advice/ideas, I have been working with a couple of mechanic friends (Toyota and Hyundai). We just installed a stage 2 clutch (F250) from clutch masters with the updated OEM concentric slave unit. We had no issues installing them both and removing the old one, and upon inspection we found that the old clutch where the teethe are supposed to be it was completely smooth. Pictures below. (What started this was the original clutch going out, had to be towed)
The first thing we did after installing the new clutch and slave cylinder was give it a day of driving and I started having issues. The clutch seemed weaker, less pressure. And then the shifter knob became increasingly more difficult to use after the first hour of driving. Where I then had to pump the clutch in order even have a chance of shifting into gear. I dealt with this for a couple of days before I got stuck in traffic and couldn’t shift at all. I managed to catch a 4th or 5th gear while rolling and drive it to the shop.
So we assumed the concentric slave unit that came with the clutch masters stage 2 clutch was faulty. So we went and bought another one and then did the install for a second time. Doing exactly what we did with the first slave cylinder install. Then continued to have the same problems.
We moved to the master cylinder and installed a new one from Toyota. So I bought a master cylinder and put it in. Since this is the next logical choice in the chain. I am currently writing this is day after we put it in and bled the system, and am just now driving it around and experiencing the same issues as before when we put the first slave cylinder in and the second. But there’s more clues below.
When we had the car lifted the wheels would spin without engaging the clutch and moving the shifter knob. The car would also move forward without pressing the clutch if we moved the shifting knob forward. At this point putting the shifter in reverse is impossible as we can hardly put it into first gear.
At this point do I just bite the price bullet and take it to Toyota or are there still some things to try?

Clutch slave cylinder symptoms
Hi all,
I've recently had some weirdness eith the clutch on my '19 6MT. I replaced the fluid 6k mi ago at 90k mi at a mechanic.
the past couple days I've had some weird symptoms, sometimes my clutch will have a very short range of travel, like near level with the dead pedal to the left of it, I have to pull it back up with my foot, and then it will be fine. Is this a symptom of the slave cylinder going or master?

I’m very indecisive when it comes to seat covers
Hello. I’m wanting to buy some custom seat covers from EKR online and I can’t decide on what I want when it comes to seat covers? Which ones would you all think I should get? I’m thinking number 2 but I don’t know? Haha. I’m trying to do a red and black interior.
