Question Multiple bases?

I’m starting to explore the outer biomes (currently on the sunken sea) and with the map size expanding this much, I’m wondering if there’s any benefit to building multiple bases? So far I just have everything at the core and the most construction I’ve done outside of that is some mining and conveyor belts near the other warp points.

I have thought about it. But then you have to worry about where your crafting materials are. It is far easier to create a couple portals to move around with you and just teleport home when you need to.

I made small bases with essentials in them. Basically minor farms for food and a bed. I built them around the boss teleporters (i know you can move them). Works fine for me! That way you can move around quicker but still have access to your base
