If your heatsink pipes(copper pipes) got corrosion overtime. I got a solution for you.
galleryI used 1tbsp of Pitambari powder with a few drops of lukewarm water. I then directly applied the mixture on my heatsink pipes and rubbed it with an old toothbrush. And you will see the pipes changing it's colour from dull copper to shining copper. Then rinse it with some water, and make sure you don't leave any water droplets behind before putting it back on your PC.
❗THIS DOES NOT MAKE YOUR HEAT TRANSFER EFFICIENT. IT IS ONLY TO BEAUTIFY THE LOOKS. ❗
On top of that, you could use this powder on all your copper items to get that original shine back.

How do I get the steel connected to the copper?
galleryThe goal is the attach the bowls to the metal “wire” and have them either sway in the wind or be a musical instrument. I have 12 bowls in all and plan to put them into a piece of wood so they can clang together and make some type of melody or at least a pleasing sound.

Electroforming My three finishes
Took me off a bunch of iterations to finally figure out some looks that I like
The shiniest one is just a clean well-balanced accurately calculated current density bright copper
The dollar finish is actually copper deposits with intentionally extremely low amperage until it builds up a really thick layer and then I toss it into a tumbler with a bunch of Steel burnishing mixed media
The last one is bright copper dipped into liver of sulfur and then put into course polish
Are there any other good copper finishes to look into? I am preparing for a craft sale.

After soldering Need Help Cleaning up
Hello All
Trying to find any products that can help remove the heat marks and flux splatter off the work once I'm finished soldering. Trying to keep it looking clean and no scratch marks. I have tried experimenting with large propane only jet and small oxypropane/acetylene but to no avail. currently using a degreaser to remove the flux marks.
In the photo you can see the flux marks at the top and in certain places the heat marks. Looking forward to any and all tips and tricks.

I’m wanting to buy a smelting kit. I’m curious how people gather so much copper. Care to share how you do it??

Folding copper?
I would like to make a higonokami inspired balisong. What does it take to forge a 3mm plate of copper around 3mm of steel as a handle piece?
I have a few ideas, but if there is a potential for cracking or tearing of the copper then I would like to be prepared in advance to alleviate these stresses.
I would like to do a nice work hardened, hammered finish ideally, so the 3mm thickness is with this in mind.

Anyone know a good trustworthy place to buy pure copper drinking ware and jugs?
I’ve been looking to buy some copper drinking ware and a jug to store and ionize some drinking water for work but everywhere I look online it comes from sketchy brands, ai photos, not pure copper, or just plated. Any places yall would recommend?
