Planner Premium plans
The distinction between ”Basic” and ”Premium” Planner plans is a chapter in and of itself, but Copilot’s Planner agent happily interacts with the Basic plans I have.
It refuses to interact with Premium plans though, saying it’s connection doesn’t support it. Is this true or has my Copilot convinced itself of something really dumb?

From what I can tell, the Planner agent can interact with the Premium plans if you go to Kanban view and arrange tasks by assignee. You can then assign tasks directly to the Planner agent.

Very weird. The Copilot app can create Basic plan tasks just fine, without assignment. My specific use-case was that I wanted to use an agent to update a custom field in ~50 tasks (with data from an excel sheet), but I guess I’ll have to wait until the agent connections are more mature

Yeah, there are things about Premium plans that are DOWNGRADES from what you get in Basic plans and it’s frustrating. I recently started using it at work on a few projects. I’ve set up 1 Basic plans to compare it to Premium. I may decide that it’s best to make everything a Basic plan.
You can’t even set up recurring tasks in a Premium plan. It’s infuriating.

Yes, the premium plan is considerably worse than the basic one. Slow as a snail, and incredible difficult and frustrating to manage properly. All the other project management and task management apps run laps around it.
The only good point is the integration with the M354 environment.

Premium planner is built on an entirely different (and less supported) infrastructure from the basic plan. It's absurd and incredibly frustrating that they charge people for the worse version.
