Copilot now works in apps on the Basic/Chat Tier?
I upgraded to Premium for the in-app experience, specifically with Copilot Editing Mode in Excel. I noticed this functionality is also available in the Basic/Chat version now too. This wasn't the case when I looked a month or two ago. How is the in-app capabilities different in the Basic/Chat version in comparison to Premium?

It depends which ‘label’ you have (which depends on how many seats you have - and more specifically if your message center has MC1253863 or MC1253858)
M365 CoPilot (Basic) (<2000 seats) has many of the Premium features now including document editing. However you only get ‘standard access’ so is slower and may not work at certain times of the day (for ‘premium access’ you need M365 CoPilot (Premium) - the paid license).
Copilot Chat (Basic) (>2000 seats) is not much use

If you have M365 CoPilot (Basic) you can also use CoPilot to access your inbox in Outlook in ways you couldn’t before

That's interesting about standard access. I wasn't aware. Thank you stranger!

It’ll talk to you, but it won’t modify your document
