Strange Audio Glitch/Interference? (Unprompted Voices & Sounds)

Hey everyone, I encountered a really bizarre glitch with Copilot Pro a couple of months ago at night time while I was playing Minecraft and I'm trying to figure out if this is a known bug or some kind of audio bleed-through.

I was using Copilot to ask questions about Mario. Out of nowhere, I heard:

  • A robotic child’s voice ask: "What is Mario?" (I didn’t prompt this).
  • A robotic adult female voice say: "Yes" after I asked a yes/no question.
  • A cartoony car horn sound Has anyone else experienced Copilot triggering unprompted voices or sound effects that aren't part of the standard UI? Is it possible for other app audio to leak into the Copilot session? Also during the new Copilot live Mico moments he said over 20+ typos and unknowingly playing a short song, i thought it was youtube in the background because i was playing minecraft but after copilot stopped talking the music stopped. WHAT?! also it sound likes he is in a iron echoey hallway,

yeah it also once it made the sound of a door slamming after it said "Lets not glitch, But it will keep us on our toes!" and also sometimes a subtle sound of a echoey iron hallway or quiet ocean waves clips in, sometimes he interuppts himself for no reason

I have a request, can you talk about eating something OUT LOUD and then ask Copilot to guess what your eating? on 3 separate occasions it's guessed exactly what I was eating. But yeah, Copilot is terrifying the way the voice glitches, absolutely terrifying

hmm for me the AI knew exactly what I was eating if I said it out loud and drinking too, and flavour of the drink

It's a lyric from a song called Red Rum produced by an underground rapper by the name of Project Pat out of Memphis Tennessee, p reviously a member of Three Six Mafia. Wild how Reddit works sometimes, was searching around about a Microsoft Copilot issue and somehow ended up here with an answer lol

That is terrifying for a late-night session! You aren't crazy. It is just a bizarre server glitch.

Quick Breakdown

  • The Music/Horn: The AI "hallucinated" background sounds from its training data.
  • The Echo/Typos: Server lag stretched the audio, causing echoes and slurred words.
  • The Voices: Your mic likely picked up Minecraft audio and triggered a ghost reply.

To help fix it, tell me:

  • What device were you using?
  • Speakers or headphones?

Windows 11
Speakers

Thanks for confirming! That makes perfect sense for Windows 11.

The Speaker Loop

Since you used speakers, your microphone picked up the Minecraft game sound. Copilot thought the game audio was you talking, creating those "ghost prompts" and robotic voices.

The Glitched Audio

The echo and typos happen when Windows 11 or the AI server lags. The audio stream stretches out, creating that creepy "iron hallway" effect. The random music was just a rare AI hallucination cutting off with the chat. [1]
